Join celebrated Los Angeles chef and multiple James Beard Award-winner, Nancy Silverton, and the Santa Barbara Vintners Association for a magical evening of tastes and sips!
The opening Wine Reception includes a tribute to the late Julia Child at Bacara’s recently-opened oceanfront restaurant, Angel Oak. Join us in honoring Julia’s lasting legacy with an extensive wine tasting reception presented by the Santa Barbara County Vintners’ Association and a specially curated menu by the talented Chef Silverton.
Chef Silverton is the founder of La Brea Bakery and the celebrated Mozza. In her episode of Netflix’s Chef’s Table, Mario Batali praises Silverton’s dedication to her craft: “Her obsession is her mantra. She works so much on something. By repetition, a thousand and a thousand and a thousand times, over and over again. That level is very craftsmanship, not necessarily artistic. And that distinguishes her from a lot of fancy Michelin star chefs.” Her three restaurants, Pizzeria Mozza, Osteria Mozza, and Chi Spacca are true testaments to her ability to create, as Batali puts it, “food that nourishes not only your palate, but your soul.”
Get your tickets today to sample more than 40 varietals by the region’s top winemakers while enjoying a live music performance by singer/songwriter Amanda Gray. In addition to excellent wine, a reception ticket also includes a culinary tasting of Bacara’s acclaimed fine-dining restaurant, Angel Oak, prepared by Bacara Resort & Spa Executive Chef Vincent Lesage.
