DESCRIPTION: Dr. Ali Javanbakht, practicing physician at Sansum Clinic’s Carpinteria branch and popular Coastal View News columnist, is the featured speaker for this highly informative evening sponsored by the Santa Barbara Chapter of Health Care for All - California. Dr. Javanbakht will speak – with his trademark easy-to-understand, gentle, and humorous approach to wellness – on his experience with managed care systems. He will be joined by Peter Conn, HCA-SB Chapter Outreach Coordinator. Questions from the audience are encouraged. In addition, a short video “The Healthcare Movie” will be presented. This half-hour movie is about the Canadian health system and whether the United States could adopt a similar system. The evening will include refreshments, and there is no charge to attend.
