Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Terry Perkins has been practicing plastic surgery in Santa Barbara for over 30 years. He specializes in facial cosmetic surgery and body contouring through liposuction. Dr. Perkins combines the most advanced technology and surgical techniques to provide cosmetic surgeries that give a natural, "non-operated" look. All surgeries are done in his fully-accredited surgical suite, located near Cottage Hospital.

Facial cosmetic surgery options offered by Dr. Perkins are:

• Face Lifts to address skin laxity in the cheek and neck.
• Chin Surgery that can improve a "weak" chin through the use of an implant or reduce a more prominent chin.
• Ear Surgery (Otoplasty) that treats ears that are too prominent, or stick out, from the head.
• Eye Lid Surgery that can correct sagging skin and fat bulges that may make you look tired or unhappy.
• Forehead Surgery that helps minimize frown lines and remove heaviness of the upper eyelids through repositioning of the forehead and brow.
• Lip Enhancement involves adding volume to the lips either with a fat graft, other tissue, or temporary enhancement through dermal fillers.
• Neck surgery that addresses the sagging skin and fat accumulation around the neck area.
• Nose Surgery (Rhinoplasty) that can be done to either help the appearance or breathing function.

Body Contouring procedures are done though liposuction. The overall all goal is to decrease bulk. Some procedures may also include surgery, but that is decided on a case by case basis. Body Contouring can be done on the following areas:

• Arms: Typically the upper arms (above the elbow) are treated with liposuction and, if needed, skin removal to create leaner, tighter upper arms.
• Abdomen: Liposuction, and/or a "mini tummy tuck", can be used to remove excess fat around the abdomen area.
• Legs: The most common leg areas treated are the inner thigh and outer thigh ("saddlebag" area) through liposuction and, if necessary, skin removal.
