Heal the Ocean is a large, successful non-profit citizens action group in Santa Barbara whose focus is on near-shore ocean pollution (bacteria that closes Santa Barbara’s beaches). We do this by identifying sources of near-shore ocean pollution, by working with public agencies to effectuate solutions to the ocean pollution problem, and by educating the public about ocean pollution. |

The Environmental Defense Center is a Santa Barbara-based nonprofit, public interest environmental law firm that works for the protection and enhancement of the environment in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo Counties. Since 1977, EDC has provided public education, advocacy, and legal representation to other local organizations to defend the natural treasures that make the Santa Barbara area so special. |
