Wow, fifty cents to use my Credit Card!
Reviewer: Liz from Santa Barbara, CA
I go to Mojo quite often. I love the blended mocha and my boyfriend likes the "hair-raiser" coffee. I'm actually quite sad to say that we will not be going back. We were their on Wed and after placing my order and handing the girl my card she said "oh yah, it's fine that there is a fifty cents charge to use your card"? Obviously, since we were already there and meeting someone to study I paid the fee. This seems like a pretty steep fee when no other coffee shops in SB charge a fee to use your card. I've seen different companies requiring a fee for a purchase of 1 or 2 dollars, but fifty cents when my total was already 8 dollars seems too much to me. They don't even have it posted that they will be charging that fee to use your card!! I like Mojo, but to save fifty cents we will be going to across the street to one of the other coffee shops.

New Coffee (BLEH!!!)
Reviewer: Shannon from Santa Barbara, CA
I'm a Mojo Coffee regular of seven years, i loved their old coffee. I got a cup a of the new Firehouse, which i did not like at all. It was cold, way to strong. I asked if i could get another cup of different coffee, the staff was awesome and had no problem with letting me get a new cup of different coffee. I got Italian. It was also cold and too strong, but it was better than Firehouse. Maybe if they brewed the coffee with more water it wouldn't be so strong???

Changed the coffee thank God
Reviewer: Bob from Santa Barbara, CA
Wow I am so excited, I went into Mojoes the other day to get my usual cup of coffee and much to my surprise they have changed companies. I am so sick of the stuff they been serving, it always taste burned to me. The barista told me there using a company by the name of Green Star, he told me Green Star only use Organic and Fare trade coffee. I donít know about all of that kind of stuff but I can till you this much, they sure make a grate cup of coffee.

Where's the "Hair Raiser"?
Reviewer: Shayne from Goleta, CA
Mojo's was my favorite coffee place in town. I got coffee there almost every morning before work. I loved their French Roast ("Hair Raiser") and would combine it with their exceptional vanilla flavored coffee for an extremely satisfying coffee drink. I arrived this monday to a whole new array of coffee choices and all my favorites are gone. Gone is the French roast. Gone is the delicious vanilla flavored. Under new ownership I suppose. The staff is great as always but I want my "Hair Raiser" back!

This is a Santa Barbara Independent coffee jewel!

The atmosphere is wonderful here! I always meet friends and family here as it is always a great place to entertain on a Sunday morning! They have the best hours .... if you are awake they are probably brewing coffee! Kudos guys!

Mojo regular
Reviewer: Lily from Santa Barbara, CA
Friends don't let friends drink Starbucks, they turn them around and head to Mojo Coffee! The baristas there are all really nice people ready to make your drink to your specifications. The staff is knowledgeable and dedicated, many of them have worked there for more than 2 years. Mojo is a fun place to hang out, study for your exams, meet up with friends, and relax. The patio is great and there's not too much foot traffic keeping you distracted. The menu is typical with a few gems thrown in, try the swiss mocha! There's also an off menu list if you want something new. Once you try Mojo you'll be a regular yourself!

Great patio crappy coffee
Reviewer: ADAM from Goleta, CA
Ok. The way I see it I can either go to Java Jones in IV or Mojo's in Goleta. It's practically the same walk. Mojo's is more relaxed and I am way more productive there. The patio is nice and spacious and the music is never too loud. The service is ok. The coffee is really bad. If I had to guess I would say that the bean to water ratio is off. Their coffee and espresso is too week and of poor quality (even the 'Hair Raiser'). The only thing that makes Java Jones more appealing is that their coffee is way better in the flavor and complexity department. However, I prefer Mojo's because of all the other factors: patio, quiet, no drunks etc... Mojo's wins but needs to work on their coffee.

Good ambiance
Reviewer: Glenn from Buellton
Got the sandwich, just Ok(not cut in half all the way), they run out of most food. The Cocoa was good. The ambiance is the winner here with internet, walk up chess tables and couches. Pretty popular during UCSB exam time. This is what you think of when you think coffee house.

try their...
Reviewer: C.S. from Goleta, CA
"black and white mocha"! it's to die for :) it's a cozy and quiet cafe with an ambient atmosphere. they play Grateful Dead and other easy-listening rock on the BGM.

Best
Reviewer: Rande from santa monica, ca
Mojo's is by far the best coffee house in the entire Santa Barbara area. I am very particular about my coffee and they made me exactly what I wanted. It was the absolute best coffee I have ever had! The staff is very friendly and make you feel right at home. The decor is inviting and relaxing. I was a Starbucks patron, but after the great, friendly service and the best coffee, Mojo's is the only place for me.

Drinkin' Black Coffee ... till I can stare at the walls!
Reviewer: Jade from Santa Barbara, CA
Henry Rollins couldn't have more energy than the cup of espresso I drank at this cool, out of the norm coffee shop! WOW! It was great. The service was excellent and everyone was eager to please. I purchased a cool mug as a gift and the cute girl behind the counter asked me if i wanted it wrapped up - and she actually wrapped it up for me! Thanks Mojo- You and your espresso rock! As for the prices, I found this place cheaper than Reds in SB - let's see ya buy a cheaper cup a jo at Staryucks! 8 out of 10 here!

$3.75 For Iced Coffee!?
Reviewer: Koji from Goleta CA
Erm i think someone over charged you a BIT... Large iced coffee's are $1.80. Probably someone new or someone just not paying attention.

my favorite coffee shop
Reviewer: Kate from Santa Barbara, CA
Free wireless, the music isn't very loud (unlike Starbucks!) there is usually seating and the coffee isn't bad either. All around a good place to meet up with a friend or to study.

3.75 for an iced coffee
Reviewer: anonimous from Goleta CA.
Thats because it was probably someone new who charged you for a large blended coffee drink. Iced coffee is the same price as the hot drink.

quite the heavy ransom!
Reviewer: chee from santa barbara, ca
oh my...I can't believe I just paid $3.75 for a large iced coffee! the flavor of the coffee is pretty good, but slightly weak for me. maybe the steep prices are due to the free wireless internet and the nice patio area? but still, I'm a starving college student, and I'm still in shock from the prices...at least the refills are only $0.75. overall, the staff was pretty nice, and they gave me soymilk for my drink...next time, I might opt for a cheaper venue with a stronger brew.

Couldn't be happier
Reviewer: Justin from IV
Hey, this place is one of the best places for coffee around, and the only problem is trying to find a seat. (which isn't a bad thing)

A hidden surprise
Reviewer: Coffee Junkie from Santa Barbara,CA
It took some time for me to discover Mojo Coffee, but I am glad I did. The staff is REALLY pleasant and sweet and they make a great blended spiced chai. Great atmosphere too, even for being in a strip mall location.

Great for morning, afternoon or night
Reviewer: Olivia Uribe from Goleta, Ca
I love the atmosphere. The guys and girls that work there are SUPER SUPER nice and layed back AND efficient. THere is free internet, and their coffee and iced tea is great. I go there roughly everyday on the weekends before i work I HAVE to stop by for a cup of coffee and on the weekedays It's the best place to study or have a study group. Either indoors or outdoors they have great lighting, many plugs for computers and newspapers. Anything that you're looking for in a coffeeplace you can find at Mojo :0)
