Ok place not as good as Vons
Reviewer: Glenn from Buellton
This place is Ok, not as good as the newer Vons down the way of course. Not too many people in there, checkout was pretty good. Deli was Ok, sandwich from there Ok. Mostly retirement crowd.

often puny and dry chicken tenders, but oh-so-addictive!
Reviewer: chee from santa barbara, ca
I don't know why I keep coming back to this Albertson's location for their fried chicken tenders (vs. the Albertson's in Goleta or on Upper State) because every time I go, the chicken tenders are miniscule, dried-up nubbins that once were full-fleshed tenders...I feel like they only make one batch a day, so the later in the day you go, the more raisin-esque the chicken tenders will be. Although going to this location at 10am will increase the likelihood of well-hydrated tenders (it's quite unfortunate that I actually know this), I still prefer the service (i.e., free samples!) and the quality of the tenders from the other Albertson's branches. I'm a stickler for the quality of my fried chicken...especially since they're charging $4.99/lb for them (when they were once $1.99/lb!)

fresh (thin sliced) deli meat please
Reviewer: Samantha Jones (alias) from Goleta, Ca
I'd like to completely agree with the person who wants her (his?) deli meat fresh. Not only that, but they cut the pre-slices too thick. I always ask for it at an 8 setting, and the pre-slices are about 10 or so. I've had more problems than not, and people giving attitude and tossing the turkey toward me when they are done. I'm just glad that I'm not the only person that's had a problem with this.

i love it

they make the best food if you have less then ten dollers .

Pre-sliced?
Reviewer: KS from Santa Barbara, CA
Why is it every time I go to this deli and ask for freshly sliced turkey they try to pull out a handfull of stuff that is already sliced? I get meat from a deli for one reason - freshness. If I want pre-sliced I'll go get a package of Oscar Meyer in the aisle. Maybe they do this to save time later, who knows. Even when I specifically say "sliced fresh" they try to give me the old stuff, then I get attitude if I force them to slice it for me. ("We just sliced it a few minutes ago" they tell me - yeah right) Then they roll their eyes and I have to watch them like a hawk to make sure they do it. STOP PRE-SLICING AND SLICE FRESH FOR EVERY CUSTOMER - THAT'S WHAT I'M PAYING FOR
