Have to Agree with James...

Had the EXACT same thing happen to me as the poster below. Instead of making it right, the manager was combative and tried to make it sound like it was my fault. Really too bad because Rusty's was a staple in Santa Barbara for me growing up. BTW, why so tight with the coupons? I get one sent out every 6 months! For the price and considering that the local competition actually offers coupons, I'm scratching Rusty's off the list. The food was much better years ago before they lost their "local" feel and became more "corporate."

Time to find another Pizza.

I have lived here my entire life and remember Rusty's as being a nice local pizza joint that were friendly and always delivered a consistently good pizza. Over the past 30 years I have spent thousands of dollars with Rusty's whether it be work related or personal. It's really sad to see an abrupt end to the Rusty's legacy. The other night I ordered a pizza for delivery which came out of the Turnpike store. After almost an hour of waiting I finally got the wrong pizza delivered and top of that, it wasn't even warm. I informed the driver and he said no problem, call in and we will make this right. I called the Rusty's number and the girl patched me into the Manager at the Turnpike store. Essentially it came down to "I was wrong". I kept my cool and was as courteous as humanly possible, but the manager simply wasn't accommodating. I didn't even get a sorry out of him. Shame on Rusty's for hiring management of that kind of caliber. The simple solution would of been to redeliver the correct pizza... you're driver was tipped well enough to make another trip out and it's just the right thing to do. Anyway, that will be the last dime Rusty's ever gets out of me. The overall quality of your pizza has declined over the years and your management needs a major overhaul.

Small Restraunt, but same great taste

I don't know why this restraunt has lower reviews than the other Rusty's. Sure, the size is much smaller and less accomadating than the other parlors. But, the pizza is just as good and the service I experienced was no different.

When we moved here 10 years ago we found a great pizzeria that served us fresh hot pizza with great customer service. I usually wait to leave a review but this is the limit. I will not even go into the service we received last time we ordered. This time when I called the person was rude, did not care about customer service, and had no personality. When the pizza arrived the delivery girl barely spoke english. I asked about the $2.50 delivery fee. She did not understand what that was. I gave her $3.00 tip and she just walked away. We paid $17.90 for a one topping small pizza for child and adult. This is the last time we order. I look forward to ordering from pizza mizza.

I wish I would of spent $5.99 for a dominos pizza

We have eaten Rusty''s for years. Over the past year their quality and service has gone down. We ordered a simple one item pizza. We have always paid by check, however, the girl on the phone rudely stated "dont you understand we only accept visa or cash. We accepted and paid by cc. When we received the pizza we discovered that the pizza was deep dish. usually we get thin style. We already had a horrible time ordering from them we decided just to eat something else. This was not a true pizza. I don't understand how a company like this can stay in business. The last part of this was the female on the other end asked us if we would like some ranch, we said sure. When we received our bill there was a charge for $.55 per 1 ounce cup. What a ripoff. Then I looked at our bill and it said there was a $2.50 delivery fee. I say we all boycott this company.

i placed an ordered for pick up. i get there, no order. while i'm waiting to find out what happened to my order the employees are playing cards, talking in spanish, smoking outside. I actually had to ask them to find out where my order was! turns out it was sent to the wrong store! I did notice they had to look through a few orders on the printer but no orders were being made. I wonder how long other customers were kept waiting. Cancel my order. Servie was horrible. Get it straight next time!

Same good food, not the same service and restaurant

Poor English, no salad bar, no spacious seating. Go to one of the other ones(e.g. Storke or Calle Real). They got my order wrong or mixed up with someone else. Food good but limited.
