Be prepared to bag you own groceries

My wife visited the store today to buy a few items for her father's 93rd birthday. We're accustom to unloading the items from our cart, so the checker can simply scan them. Now!! You’re expected to bag your own groceries, and pay for the bags. WTH!
Why are these clerks being paid union wages for doing next to nothing?? Shopping VON'S, is in our future.

he customer service here is a joke. I have on two occasions left my shopping cart at the checkout area without paying because employees refused to serve me while it was not busy. They just let you stand at the counter like you are not even there. I used to work for a grocery chain and this kind of behavoir would've got me fired in an instant. Obviously the management is no good.

Amed... seriously, the cashiers at your store are laughable. There is absolutely ZERO "customer service". They barely make eye-contact and it is even more frustrating when they are holding personal conversations with the "bagger" and totally ignoring you.
"Take a step-back" and watch what's going on from a customers point of view.
You were good when you worked at Von's, but this store is failing.
Even if you do get to "expand"...you won't get any additional business unless you do a serious upgrade on the people who work there.
In terms of "Guest Service"...VON'S destroys you.

I GO TO YOUR STORE 2-3 TIMES A WEEK,I SPEND APPROX, $600.00 A MONTH ONE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES STEVE WAS VERY RUDE TO ME ALL I WANTED WAS TO GET SOMETHING OFF THE TOP SHELF,AND HE TOLD ME JUST GET ANOTHER PRODUCT,HE DIDNT HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO HELP ME.I HAVE DELT WITH HIM BEFORE THIS WAS THE LAST TIME I WILL GO TO THAT STORE.I AM NOT A COMPLAINER,BUT TWICE IS ONCE TOO MUCH FOR ME.

Good Deli Food, Nice People, Nice Albertsons

Though not as good as some of their competition this was a pretty good Albertsons, sandwich was good and the people were fairly friendly. Hopefully Albertsons will start updating like Vons has to make it even nicer.

Quick $5 Sandwiches

For $4.99 you got a great sandwich with great service from the service deli. You can pick your choice of turkey (my favorite) and they give you a lot. Most sandwich places in town measure out what seems like 2 ounces of meat, one or two thin slices across the sandwich... and they charge almost twice as much. Not at Albertson's! We are going to be sorry if they leave us this summer.
