Good Food
Reviewer: Glenn from Buellton
They are now called Mi Fiesta Market. Really large and tasty burrito I got at a kitchen in the back of the store(pay up front). They also have a butcher shop with assorted things back there so your menu items would be close to an El Sitio. Front is small Mex slanted market. Most people were nice but the guy in the back(butcher/owner?) was grumpy. More of a local Hispanic clientele.

Best carnitas

Get the carnitas. Definitely.

birria tacos and ceviche tostadas - the bare necessities
Reviewer: lemonjelly from santa barbara, ca
I remember the Villarreal Market in Goleta and keep forgetting that the SB location is still in business. I went there today for lunch and came away pleased with the food and very full. I had a ceviche tostada ($2.99) that was so piled with fish and tomato that I had to scoop away half of it with tortilla chips to make the remainder more manageable on my tostada base. It was like getting 2 for 1. I wasn't expecting such a generous portion, so I'd also ordered a birria taco and a pork tamale. The taco ($2.50 I think?) was really good. I'd like to think the meat was goat, but I honestly couldn't tell so I guess it does not really matter. And again, a very generous portion of meat. The tamale ($1.50) was so-so, the masa was a little dried out and tough on one end. You can also get a combination lunch of one chicken, beef and pork taco for $5, which my lunch companion ordered. The chips were average and we had to ask twice for some, but the salsa was good. Service is N/A. You order at a small counter and when it's ready they call out into the store for you to pick it up. Seating is a choice of bare tables in the back, or bar-like window seating near the front of the market. It is not a sit down restaurant by any means, just go there for simple food without any fussiness and be happy.
