This is the last time...., 7/25/2014

$10.00 for a sandwich with nothing on it plus it was a 40 minute wait. One woman making sandwiches with 15 people in line plus all the phone in orders...This place is ridiculous! South Coast Deli from here on out...way more in the sandwich and better ingredients for $2 to $3 less, plus the wait is about 5 min.

Note to the previous poster about the "worst" tuna sandwich., 2/15/2014

For some reason, I don't think they intentionally served you something you would not like. Perhaps if it was not to your liking, one would think that you would inform them of that and they would have cheerfully and without hesitation offerd you another choice.

Worst Tuna Sandwich I EVER Had, 2/3/2014
Reviewer: Carla from Santa Barbara, CA
I just can't comprehend how something as simple as a Tuna Salad Sandwich, can be masacred in such a fashion. First and foremost, there is NO flavor in the tuna. Despite the attempt with some finely chopped bell pepper and onion, there is an inherent lack of a basic ingredient... SALT ! The tuna itself has absolutely NO FLAVOR. No salt, no pepper, skimping on the mayo... it is literally the worst "recipe" I have ever tasted. So dissapointing. These sandwiches are outrageously priced... some are hits, but many are misses. This is one of them.

Great Sandwiches!

I come here often and order ahead for pick up. My favorite sandwich is the #17 on focaccia. I used to order the #2 all the time which is great as well... always on focaccia!

The Economy or Tobes?
Reviewer: Bob from Santa Barbara, CA
Another so-called sandwich restaurant that has been destroyed either by the economy or the high rents charged by the greedy landlords and realtors. As a result, places that might have once offered some decent food, now try to sell you bad bread with 90% lettuce and a few skimpy and tasteless pieces of meat, cheese, and veggies that are almost not fit for human consumption. I'm really not into paying for nothing simply for the image of eating in a Santa Barbara burb with a few chairs outside the store. Sadly, something is so dreadfully wrong with Santa Barbara--and America--that reality has abandoned us and replaced anything good with illusion. This is difficult to take as I grow older. I don't blame the owners--perhaps they, too, are victims of the times. The truth of this reality saddens me greatly. But one cannot live on illusion. Illusion has a bitter taste.

Potential to be a winner

I don't understand the logic behind this restaurant. Many times I have gone in for a sandwich and have requested whole wheat bread, only to be told they are out of it. Today I was told, "Sorry, we ran out of whole wheat bread yesterday." What??? Go across the street to the grocery store and BUY SOME!!! I have taken my business elsewhere at least ten times because they are often out of bread. My other gripe is the way they jam the sandwich full of lettuce, but totally skimp on the other ingredients. For instance, the bell pepper and tomato are sliced paper thin, and you only get one slice, so you can only imagine what the taste should be, because trust me, you can't taste these at all. Over-priced considering a head of lettuce costs about $1.29.

Heavenly

After a coworker recommended the Curried Chicken Salad and another coworker chimed in about how good Panino was I decided to stop by. Ordered the Cobb salad with feta instead of stilton and it hugely exceeded my expectations. I'm pretty sure I mistakenly went into the Int'l Cafe or whatever it is next door and got a Cobb salad a few months ago - WORLDS apart (I obviously never went back lol). Spring Mix lettuce - delicate, fresh - a hint of basil with a delicious balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Avocado, prosciutto, chicken, little red onions - I'm ready for another one...I'll definitely be back.

No so good
Reviewer: christina from Santa Barbara, CA
Both my daughter and I ordered turkey sandwiches. Both sandwiches looked horrible and tasted even worse. The bread was old and hard, there was about only two slices of turkey and was very dry. And just to make things even worse, they only put a drop of mayo on the sandwich. This place is a big joke.

Don't Order Catering
Reviewer: Emily from Santa Barbara, CA
I have always liked the food at Panino, so when I had to plan a large lunch for my company and saw that Panino offered catering, I thought it would be a great chance to support a compny I liked. They ended up delivering the lunch almost 1 hour late and I almost lost my job. I would never recommend using them for catering.

A very good sandwich

All the Panio locations have excellent food and speedy service. The Goleta location has the most friendly service of all their locations. For the same price as a burger and fries you can have an outstandingly delicious sandwich or salad.

How lame can you be?
Reviewer: Amber from Santa Barbara, CA
I have probably been told five out of the past ten times I've gone into Panino's that they are out of the type of bread I have ordered. I really wish they would walk across the street to the grocery store and purchase a few loaves of bread when they are running low. How hard is that? Needless to say, each time this has happened, I have taken my business elsewhere.

Just ok
Reviewer: Nicole from Goleta
This place is just ok, nothing really stands out as delicious. For a good sandwich try country meat market next to zodo's. That's a real sandwich.
