This place is great.
Reviewer: Paul W from Santa Barbara, CA
I'm a new fan. I've eaten the spicy chicken burrito two days in a row and now I'm going back for a third day. I wish they were closer to Santa Barbara. It's really good. I can't remember the last time I ate somewhere three days in a row. I'm already salivating at the thought. If the guy running this happens to read this, please make an outside sign so that people will know where your restaurant is.

Kogimazing.

I love this place, the tacos and burritos are awesome and a great value for your money. Everyone that works there is super polite, even with late night customers, and the food is always hot and prepared quickly.

Unique and delicious
Reviewer: Elena from Santa Barbara, CA
Well, we finally made it to this place and it was SO good. I don't really care for kimchi but it tasted great cooked. The flavors were spicy yet not so hot that you can't taste all the unique ingredients. The people who own the place were very nice and welcoming.

Good Eats!

We tried the Korean Beef Ribs, and the Korean Pork over rice. The food was absolutely awesome, and a good value for the money. My son put down the address of this place in his iPhone, and labeled it "Korean Food (epic)" which says it all.

Great for Late Night Cravings

Kogi's has become my number 1 place for late night munchies. $4 burritos and $1 tacos from I think 11-3 Thursday-Saturday nights is the best deal in IV IMHO. I've tried all of their burritos and have found chicken to be my favorite as it has a soft chewy texture that doesn't have overwhelming flavor like the pork. Their house sauce is delicious and I can't get enough of it. The food is served pretty fast and they have a nice variety of sweet teas. They definitely prefer cash as the late night specials only accept it and they have about a 50 cent differential if you pay by card. I've never had a bad experience here and plan to come back often.

some kogi love in SB
Reviewer: lemonjelly from santa barbara, ca
Obviously, this is riding on the coattails of the original Kogi BBQ that's blowing up in LA, but seeing how the real Kogi folks aren't tweeting numerous daily SB locations of their Korean tacos, I'll take what I can get.

Yes, it's great to have a twist on the standard Mexican tacos. Kogilicious is simply tacos and burritos with Korean style fillings: beef, pork, chicken and tofu. The kimchi is cooked so it's even a good first step for those timid about trying fermented chile-spiced cabbage. Try the extra sauce provided in nearby squeezy bottles, that's a Korean specialty rather than the regular Mexican salsas or Tapatio.

I've had the chicken, pork and beef tacos, and the pork burrito. My general preference is for tacos, but these spiced meats are juicy so it can get messy. If you need the meal in a tidier packet, go with the burrito. Tacos are about $1.50 each, burritos are around $6.50.

The folks there have been super nice, they're the same people running the Korean BBQ fast food place about 15 feet away in the same building. Again, this is not to be mistaken for the Los Angeles Kogi people - although the logo sure does look similar - this is not Bon Appetit award-winning gourmet stuff. It's a simple version of fast eats with a blessedly different niche on the standard fare of tacos and burritos. And it's cheap. It is Isla Vista, after all.

Interesting tacos
Reviewer: Glenn from Buellton
They have interesting tacos here, basically taking the meat from the Korean BBQ place next door and throwing it into tacos with some what tasted like Sriracha(Rooster Bottle) sauce. Really good mix of flavors. Hopefully this place will stay there longer than the other two places the korean bbq owner has had there in last five years, the yogurt place then sushi place.
