Excellent Experience, 1/4/2013

The owner greats every customer when you walk in the door. My gluten free pumpkin chocolate chip muffin was fantastic! The coffee is roasted in the shop and the type of bean changes everyday! Very fresh, very yummy, a must try for any coffee or tea lover!

Excellent food and service. Prices weren't bad either. This is the best coffee that I've had in Santa Barbara. The latte that I had today was on par with the coffee at Swing's in DC. I wish I had gone sooner. My son loved the chocolate pastry.

After trying every coffeeshop in SB, Handlebar is way on top. Not only are the espresso based drinks the best, the owner/operaters are super knowledgeable about coffee. Great breakfast food to boot. Indoor and al fresco dining make this the place for a satisfying drink or snack. Moto Bene!

Absolutely love Handlebar, by far the best latte in the city. :) Kim and Aaron are awesome and have done such a good job creating an inviting atmosphere and amazing coffee. They work so hard every day to ensure the best coffee drinks and beans for their customers. Keep up the great work!

Went this weekend, I got a caffe mocha and the boyfriend just got a coffee. Loved the drinks. Cute atmosphere, I wish they had more space so they could have a couple tables inside, but oh well. The owners seem pretty awesome and excited for their new coffee shop.

Nice addition to the Santa Barbara coffee scene

Handlebar Cafe opened this week and I tried them out twice. The first time, I had a cappuccino that was very nice. It is a little bit "lighter" than most cappuccinos, so it will probably have appeal to people wary of espresso drinks. The second time, I had a cup of their house coffee. The coffee is made in a french press and tasted very fresh with low acid. Handlebar seems to specialize in medium and lighter roasts, so the coffee is not as strong tasting as Starbucks or Peete's, and will probably appeal to people who don't like an industrial strength brew. The owners seem like really nice people and I wish them well. I'll come back, preferably via bicycle.
