Let me start by saying that I am a loyal crushcaker. I love the downtown location and eat at the café frequently. Today, I suggested that myself and two co-workers try the Isla Vista location. When we arrived, I noticed the owner was there, so I was certain we would receive good service and food. I even pre-tipped $5 anticipating a good experience.Boy was I WRONG! my co-worker (who ordered separately) order a half salad and soup. It took 38 minutes to get her food! On top of that, they forgot the dressing on her salad! When our food arrived, (my friend ordered a cheesesteak)- it was made with cheddar and was nearly flat from lack of meat. Not to mention... cold and the cheese was not melted at all. My sandwich was o.k. but I had ordered a BOWL, not a CUP of soup... which was incorrect. After waiting nearly an hour for our food, we scarfed it down and left. NEVER TO BE BACK. What a shame.

I've been a fan of the SB and Carp locations and am happy to see the IV location open up. Their food is fantastic with a great variety from nachos to salads and soups/sandwiches.
Then there's the cupcakes! Gotta love fresh baked goodness.
