Worth a drive - worth a stop, 7/25/2013
from Santa Barbara, CA
Heading up to Santa Ynez Valley or passing through on 101 or just a day tripper from SB, this is a worthy and surprising stop at Buellton. Very stylish industrial chic interior, wonderful staff - friendly and helpful. Hit it on Hamburger Tuesday for a special treat elk-Kobe burger with intense garlic fries. Couldn't have been happier with the choice. Mud Pie (big enough to share) was all that it should be -crispy chocolate crust, rich coffee ice cream and dense thick fudge topping. Only place you can get their special unfiltered beer which is worth the trip on its own - very special flavor and mouth feel like the unpasteurized beers freshly made in Munich. Note to management: How about coming down to SB/Goleta and taking over the soon to be empty Elephant Bar space at the SBA airport - it seems like a natural fit for ambiance, decor, food and fun for your establishment.

Nice place to get some food and beer. Burgers and Pizza Good. More of an ale place on the beer side. Dining room does not open up until later but you can get food in the bar area(families included)though it can get loud in there. Waitresses nice there. Beer tasting room also. Nice place to try.
