Greatest food anywhere for price and quality, 9/16/2014

I've eaten here a number of times and every time it gets better. The greens, the protein -- very fresh fish, chicken, pork, etc., -- and the rice. All top drawer. But, the sauces! Good lord the sauces! There's nothing I dislike more than bread and anything you put between it. Dry, insipid, horrible. Anything different is a treat. At Miso, I always get the bowl: Greens, rice, protein, etc., and then, the sauces; spicy sesame, curry, all of them. Spectacular! Under ten dollars. I live in Solvang and used to think I would kill for a Chipotle. Even a fried chicken joint. But, now, I would kill for a Miso Hungry.

Interesting 'Japotle' concept. Wraps, bowls and salads, either ala carte from an extensive list or custom assembled down a line. We chose rolls - a crab/tuna and a rainbow with shrimp and fishes. Assembled in a seaweed wrapper with a white or brown rice base, a leafy element and garnish veg plus protein choices. Choice of sauces, plus side soy and wasabi. All wrapped in paper and diagonally sliced for easy handling. Nifty iced tea bar. Modest fish potions, but overall tasty and a decent value.

Ordered the build your own salad. It wasn't clear as you move down the line what items are included in base price and what is extra. Small portions to the point I felt like they were being cheap. Won't go again, there are better salads to be had.

Good place to eat for healthy food, 10/25/2013

Interesting concept. Wait in queue like Subway and they put only the food you want on, or you can order a canned menu item with suggested toppings. Choice of Salad, Bowl or Wrap I think. People really nice there and will suggest things for you. A first store(no chain) and apparently run by a former restaurant owner. Seating Ok, Parking not great and the Start Order line is right next to the only door people want to use. Other than that a great place to try!

Tastes clean and healthy!

My husband and I tried this place on Friday. I had a veggie roll with yellow tail added and he had a bowl. They were both very good and tasted clean and healthy. The only thing I didn't like was that when we walked in the first thing I noticed was the smell of the hot oil for frying. If the ventilation was better we would have eaten indoors.
