If you know REAL Mexican Food AVOID this place..
Reviewer: Mario from Santa Barbara, CA
The only thing good enough to order are the nochos, (You gota be really bad to screw up nachos.) and at that there not the best corn ships are to oily. the food is low quality (chew old asada,) the service is ok, the place is not very warming and a liitle dirty. it looks like a pre-school when walking in.. there at a good location tho. hope they change

Muy sabroso!!! (Very Tasty)
Reviewer: Annie from Santa Barbara
I had been searching in SB for a great little 'hole in the wall' place... nothing fancy, just very good, well prepared, tasty, authentic Mexican food. Of course, I drove right past Super Rica with the street long wait of tourists and gringos in their baseball caps. :) and pulled over for La Gloria Tacqueria. This is it. Three salsa to choose from, you can chose the meat from the counter, so you can choose what you want. Get the tostada with el pastor (pork) meat. Tender pieces marinaded in a tasty sauce of caramelized onions... and do I detect a bite or two of pineapple? Ate the whole thing. Huge menu, chorizo all day (usually just served in the morning, affordable, and nice staff.

I will not go back again

I thought being on Milpas it would be good. Someone even bought, it was just average. Not much flavor and small portions. The place is a little dirty too.

One of the best on Milpas

Fine Fine Tacos, Ridiculously HUGE nachos
Reviewer: Jim from Santa Barbara, CA
My wife and I have been exploring the local mexican restaurants in town and were told that we had to try La Gloria. We went, and had a fantastic dinner. For well under $20, we had 4 tacos, 2 drinks, and a HUGE plate of nachos. the dinner was fantastic.

the best menudo

when I lived on state street, my friend and I would go every sunday morning and get a big batch of menudo, it was the best I ever had, great food great prices

Authentic, Affordable & Delicious

When I lived on the Eastside, there was an abundance of mexican eateries around every corner. This was one of my favorites. The staff is very nice, the burritos are generous and tasty. If you´re daring, try the Lengua Burrito. If you´re not, just stick with the Carnitas.
