Great place to dine!
Reviewer: Clara from Los Angeles, CA
This is our spot! We have every birthday, anniversary and family occasion dinner here. Everyone from the waiters to the m'aitreD is so nice and welcoming. The food is very satisfying and delicious. The atmosphere is very friendly towards kids. We LOVE Lucky's!

Incredible food, Slow service.
Reviewer: Meredeth from Newport Beach, CA
We were in Montecito for just 3 nights, but ended up eating here twice since the food was so good! The first night was a Thursday & the place was almost empty. It was shocking how long the food took considering this. We went back on Saturday & the place was much busier & the food still took forever to get there, but it is so good, it is worth the wait. Atmosphere in the bar area was great, but if you are in a hurry, don't come here. If you want good food & enjoy a leisurely dinner, this is the place!

Great Anniversary Dinner
Reviewer: Eric from Santa Barbara, CA
My wife and I were celebrating our 4th anniversary and had a great dinner. We both had steaks, mine New York, the wife had the filet mignon, we split a couple sides and they gave us desert on the house. Parking was complimentary valet, and our car showed up less then a minute after we walked outside and we didn't even have to ask for it, it just showed up. Couldn't ask for a better night out. Thanks Lucky's. We will be back!

Acrid Burgers and Steaks
Reviewer: Michel SB from Santa Barbara, CA
I like steak to taste of beef. Hamburgers and steak here taste of the acrid soot of partially burned oil and fat. Obviously many people like their steak acrid tasting and sooty on the outside. You like acrid and sooty, this is your place. It's like when you blow out a candle and soot rises, this is what you get on your steak.

Dear Bruce
Reviewer: Jesse from Santa Barbara, CA
Dear Bruce, If you had valet'ed at Lucky's, you would have noticed that the service is complimentary: and thus, there was no need to fret over a publicly accessible parking spot where you can have your car taken of on your behalf: for free. Instead you went to Los Arroyos, where the valet is ALSO complimentary, and, if you look at your stubs, where the valet is provided by the same company. You then watched other people fret over freely accessible parking when, in my experience, there was no need. As a Santa Barbara local, I have been to Lucky's on more than one occasion. If there is anything negative to say about Lucky's, it is a result of the wait time for food rather than whether or not it was delicious or whether or not it was hard to park there. In my experience, both are taken care of.

Last time at Luckys
Reviewer: Larry from Santa Barbara, CA
We have always enjoyed our dinners at Lucky's, but our last experience was terrible. For starters our waitress was of no help and very disinterested in our dinning experience. I will list the unfortunate happenings at this our last dinner at Lucky's: -Bones in our fish. ( Sole ) -Horrible house red wine ( Babcock ) -Poor service ( rude and inattentive ) -Charged for wine we never ordered. -The rest of the dinner we ordered was average at best. I only hope this note may save someone a very expensive average dinner!

Disappointment Beyond
Reviewer: lynn from Santa Barbara, CA
Wow, Total Disappointment! We arrive at 5:45 no one in restaurant. Had to ask for our water to take order and dinner took 1 1/2 hours to deliver.Yikes! We are locals and this is the second time this has happened needless to say we will not be going back. The waiter said the reason the food took so long was because a member of our party ordered his steak well done! They added on a 20% tip because we were a large party and that was Disappointment. Manager was told.

SKip! Bad Service and Mediocre Food
Reviewer: Joanna Belson from Los Angeles, CA
I went there with a party of 8 and it took over 45 minutes for our food. Marcelo the manager was called over and didnt care at all. We had to ask for an apology, dragged it out of him unwillingly. We also asked for 2 meals to go and only got one. Once the food came it was mediocre....there are plenty of other restaurants in town that want business so do not dine here. Nothing worth coming in for. SKIP!

Great Food, Tacky Manager
Reviewer: Doug from Santa Barbara, CA
I love the burgers at Luckys, they're great. However, while dining at the bar, I glance over to see the general manager making out with a woman and enjoying his wine. You must get Lucky at Luckys being the manager!!

what a great experience
Reviewer: jen from Cork, Ireland
We went to luckys last night. and had one of the best nights of our holiday.Oour steaks were the best we have ever had. all the staff were friendly and there was a wonderful atmosphere. i think anyone who would give this place a bad review must have been in a bad mood before they went in and were looking for something to complain about. i would highly reccommend this restaurant to anyone.

from the start
Reviewer: David from Newburgh, NY
My father-in-law lived in the Casa Dorinda when Lucky's opened. My wife and I dined with him and other friends whenever we visited Montecito - usually twice a year. We haven't visited Santa Barbara in two years, but will be in town in November. I checked the web site to see if they were open on Mondays. This is the finest restaurant I have ever found in California. I am from New York, not that New Yorkers know everything but I know when I love the food and the service - I am bringing my sisters and neices so I can strut!

Treat everybody like the owner!
Reviewer: Dineout from Santa Barbara, CA
To: Sandy below. I am glad you had a great dinner. But then what did you expect.? You were dining with the owner. You were most likely his guest. The staff did backflips. Is their any doubt in your mind that kitchen did not Know where the plates were headed? I have had very decent food and service. But I for one have been annoyed a bit when i see management and staff falling all over the owner and his buddies. A restaurant ought to treat everyone as a special guest. Its really tough to be in business today. Go the extra mile for everybody. Ok?
