Chef Pete Clements passes

Local chef Pete Clements, of Pete Clements catering at 152 Aero Camino in Goleta, passed away while on a bike ride in Spain on September 16, 2021, of natural causes. With over 30 years of professional culinary experience and training, Chef Pete Clements brought artistry and attention to detail in every aspect of the food he created, whether it be an intimate meal with friends or extravagant fundraiser gala. “We are greatly saddened at the sudden loss of such a vibrant and loved member of our family,” says his obituary. “The community that grew up and around him, his close friends, kitchen companions, surfers, cyclists, the many fans of his divinely inspired tasty vittles, his children, grand children all of us fortunate enough to have shared a meal with him….to experience his talent and respect for the art of food, the love he served up we will all miss his joy… for Pete is undoubtedly the finest chef, friend and father that I ever had the pleasure to know.” Visit peteclementscatering.com
