Good Food, Food a bit slow to come out, 8/17/2009

Great Burger(Aloha Burger). Fries Ok. Owner friendly and works the shops a lot. Nice decor inside and this place does not get as hot inside as the Goleta one. Got the food on the one cook shift and food a bit slow to get there. Be nice to have some healthy "kids meal" options instead of fries and soda. A wide variety of foods though for the adults in a Burger/Hawaiian theme.

Bliss All Around, 7/30/2009

This gem reigns supreme! I have tried the Aloha Chicken Sandwich, Portobello Sandwich, Burger, Primo Burger, and Beef K'Bob. To my astonishment all of these were divine. The service is great and the staff is friendly. Their condiment bar has all the goodies I love on my food - jalapenos, tabasco, bbq sauce, etc. Bliss is eating at Kahuna while they are playing Bob Marley!

Sometimes I just want a small side salad & I love getting Kahuna's side can just tell the ingredients are very fresh! Very tasty for the price! I also ordered the chicken teriyaki with rice & side salad (forget the name) to take to work for lunch the next dday....& it was very tasty as well & a good size portion. Well worth the price! You get a lot of bang for your buck here & your taste buds will also thank you for the wonderful food! If you haven't already, go check this place out!

Surf club enjoys kahuna Gril, 3/28/2009

The Santa Barbara Surf Club decided to do something other then our usual monthy meeting,so the gracious owner and all around great guy and surfer, offered the members a bargain on an already inexpensive "da kine meal"!! Love the on going surf flicks! I always get the plate lunches because it reminds me of living on the N.S. of Oahu in the 70's.Very tasty! The people that work there all super friendly! Mahalo Dale and I hope you always stay in this new location!! Aloha!

Yes, the best, 2/18/2009

This place has always been amazing. The food is to die for, no matter what you order. The burgers are great, fries are great, and the prices are just about right. I was worried that if they moved to the high rent district from goleta they would go downhill, but not yet anyway. The service is fantastic. The owner is the greatest guy. So, so special, he is usually there, don't know how he can be in two places at once, maybe he has a clone? Hey, mister owner, are you married? You make my day.

Best burgers, shakes, salads, onion rings, etc., 2/12/2009

Burgers? Simply the best -- the primo is amazing. Shakes? None better -- the mocha malt is heavenly. Salads? Better than most sit-down restaurants, very fresh. But the thing that always amazes me the most is the service, especially when the owner is there. It's just far better than anything you would ever expect from a burger place.

Love the Kahuna Grill! Tried it last night for the first time. To my surprise there was a Wed night Special buy one get one free on combo meals! Got 4 meals for less than $25.00 and the quality was Not compromised. Food was fresh and delish! The owner was walking around and was definately proud of his establishment and had reason to be, I will definately be back. The best part was i didnt have to decide between fries and onion rings, they have an option of half and half.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Kahuna Grill! It's the quintessential California burger place. The staff is ultra friendly and the food... Ahhhh! As they say in Hawaii, No Ka Oi! Yummy! I love that they offer a plate lunch, just like in Hawaii. The veggie burger option and the teriyaki skewers are fabulous. The owner is a real down to earth local surfer who often comes out to your table. You can just feel the goodness and warmth from that guy a mile away! Nothing fake about this place, just a super down home local business that I really couldn't be happier to support. Oh! And the hand-painted surf and beach decor is Top Notch, complete with tikis and old photos and Hawaiian sayings. Surf's UP at the Kahuna!

Absolutly Perfect! As a extension student from Germany I went to UCSB this Spring Term. By that way, me and my girlfriend lived in downtown. Because of the cheap dollar we often went out for dinner and lunch. Frankly spoken, I have never tried such a perfect burger as you can get it at Kahuna Grill! It was unbelievable fresh and the price was perfect. Moreover the service was really great. The Owner itself often came out of the office and came to every guest and requested if everything was allright-He is an awesome guy! In addition, I only can say "a place to feel good"

Great burgers, sensational onion rings, 6/23/2008

On a hot summer day while on a bus tour of Santa Barbara with a group from L.A. the lunch stop was at Paseo Nuevo and a friend and I were delighted at the meal we had at Kahuna Grill. Tasty Hawiian style burger (the bus boy told me it is even better w/bacon added) while the beer-batter onion rings were tasty and obviously made fresh. Prices were decent and seating comfortable. And the place was very busy. Plus has funky surf-themed decor (one lady was investigating the various surf boards and who made them). Highly recommended.

Great anywhere it goes., 5/19/2008

During my high school years I loved going here for the great, decently priced food. And now that they have opened up a place downtown I am glad they are doing well and the food stayed great, and exactly the same.
