good food and nice workers, 6/1/2012

I go in sometimes for frozen yogurt. I go in even more for the milkshakes! Delicious!!!! The last few times I have been in there, the workers have been extremely nice and cordial. I really appreciate that they are so nice and friendly, when they mostly have to deal with crazy, drunk kids. Very refreshing!

the selection of yogurts is extensive and the bin candy is fantastic... truly a haven for those with a sweet tooth. however, paying by the ounce can add up faster than you think! i spent $14 dollars there once for 2 yogurts and was shocked!... but it was mighty tasty. if you are willing to venture outside of i.v., i highly recommend red mango. it is so much tastier and healthier, but you have to drive out to around la cumbre (i think).

A long time coming., 7/18/2009

Sweet Alley was a long time coming for IV. Many dessert places have tried to hold their own but their concepts were usually overpriced and the selection was lacking (e.g. IV Drip, Berrylicious). Sweet Alley offers the customer a huge variety of fresh fruits, candies and even cereals as well as non-fat yogurts and delicious, locally made ice creams. The self-serve aspect of the process is also very convenient and fast. Excellent establishment. Happy for IV!

Great, if only..., 6/2/2009

Great! Candy and self serve froyo. If only they had kept the candy apples from when they were downtown. They were so great.

Great concept, you make the serving size, 4/20/2009

Instead of complaining about serving sizes this is a place you can make your own and pick what you want on it. They not only have yogurt but also have McConnels Ice Cream in cartons available. You just weigh it at the end and you pay that way. Good selection of toppings, a bit better than Yo Yo Yum in Carp but all the folks in Goleta can go to the Yo Yo Yum when it opens soon by Zodos much easier than this place as there is limited parking and much student dodging. Unless of course you live in IV already!

Best Frozen yoghurt, 4/5/2009

Took the grandsons to IV especially for the Frozen Yoghurt at Sweet Alley. They loved it and so did I. Beats my former personal favorite (on Mission Street) for a frozen treat. Only drawback for me: McConnel's is 3 blocks away and S.A. is in I.V. The owners of S A were smart to switch the concept of their store from mostly candy with a sideline of F Y to 90% ice cream and soft serve with a sideline of candy (peanut butter malt balls!) and to move from State Street to Embarcadero del Mar. I wish them a lot of luck and sucess (Mazel Tov for the M O T's).

Happy!!! Much needed yogurt stop for Goleta!, 3/22/2009

I am so happy to see frozen yogurt making a comeback! I used to love going to TCBY & Penguins (anyone remember that???) Very clean and a great variety of flavors and toppings. Price was totally reasonable! My husband and I will be regulars for sure - just wish there was one closer to us in the Calle Real/Fairview area...

Yogurt??, 3/18/2009

The flavored yogurt tastes like nothing but ice cream to me. Only the plain tart yogurt is good, but you can't really mess that one anyways. Mochi was out, which disappointed me a little bit. It's also not that cheap, I got better deal at Yogurtland or Yogurtpassion. And they really do need to clean the dirt off on the ground right below the yogurt dispenser. It was really gross.

I've been to Sweet Alley at least four times and had a great experience each time. Even when the line is really long, it's still worth the wait. I'm a tart yogurt fan, so I've only had the plain and blueberry tart flavors and I'm a big fan. I also like that you can choose as many or as few toppings as you like and not feel like you're getting ripped off. Sweet Alley IV is a success!

Best of the Best, 3/11/2009

Sweet Alley is all of your favorite things about a fro yo place in one location. Good variety (they change up the flavors now and then), wow cow option, cereal, sauces, syrups, fruit, chocolate, bin candy, Everything! Even before you walk in you know it's gonna be amazing because the line is so long, AND it goes by fast. I don't know how the cashiers do it so quickly, and they are friendly at the same time. Also, for everyone feeling this lovely economic crisis we're in, they price the fro yo by the ounce so you can get a lot for really cheap. I go there several times a week and it's fantastic and you need to go and find out what you've been missing.

Yummy fro yo!, 3/5/2009

I've been waiting for a place like this to hit IV for awhile now so I was excited to see a note on John's blog that it finally opened. This place is on par with Yogurtland although the fresh fruit selection is minimal and I didn't see any mochi (unless I missed it.) Great selection of yogurt and yummy flavors. Service was good and I like the outside seating. There was only one other customer when I was there but the place just opened a week ago and I'm sure business will pick up. Prices are reasonable (cheaper than Pinkberry and you get to make your own creation) and I'll definitely go again.

Great Wow Cow, 3/4/2009

I was surprised to see they served Wow Cow here!!! loved it along with the Yo Cream. The best part is you get to serve yourself!

AMAZING 40 CENTS!!! , 3/2/2009
Reviewer: priscilla perez from Santa Barbara, CA
So this is amazing! Bin Candy, frozen yogurt, ice cream, and all the toppings you can imagine. So it is a mix of pinkberry and other ice cream shops! It is only 40 cents an ounce and i stack mine high and only pay like 5 dollars. I like mixing all the flavors of yogurt and putting on fresh fruit with cereal! The service is great because you are serving yourself so you can be as generous as you want! The only reason I give 4 stars for food is because sometimes the fro yo is too thin but not in a horrible way!
