I haven't been to Blush in several years. It was blah then and still is. Only now the place is really showing its age. The bathrooms were dirty, light bulbs needed to be replaced, no soap for hand washing, peeling paint. Our table outside was warped, potted succulents were half dead with weeds. This place needs some serious love and lacks pride and attention to detail. The food was the same... No love, no pride. The Piquillo popers were disappointing, blah, boring, greasy. No evidence of Chorizo. The Caesar salad was white on white lettuce. Sharp garlic, prefab crouton. The only redeeming piece of the salad were the house pickled cherry tomatoes or rather tomato... One! Asked the waitress for more, she told us they only serve one with the entire salad! The menu reads tomatoes..plural. She brought us 3 more cherry tomatoes. Really!?? Crab cakes were greasy, canned crab, heavy blah. Terrible. Flat Iron steak was delicious. Nice sauce. Beautiful Celeriac purée, silky, buttery, great flavor, reminiscent of Joel Robochon method of the perfect potato purée. Chilean Seabass with Saffron Beurre Blanc was fantastic, again, the potato purée was perfection. They've got the entrées buttoned down, the apps. need to be reworked. Service was ok. We're still laughing about "the tomato" that one sublime tomato.

Made a Reservation -- and they re not OPEN, 1/28/2015

What a rip off. Made lunch reservations (after checking their web site and other sites for hours)arrived with 5 others and -- guess what -- they are no longer open for lunch! According to a young lady (who would also like management to let people know) said that they are slow in the winter so they closed until dinner. I asked when they were going to reopen for lunch -- she had no idea. Now, it would be a novel idea for the management or owners to change the web site, tell Open Table they were closed for lunch, just about anything would be better than ignoring customers.

Atmosphere: Beautifully designed and decorated throughout. Lovely light 'baubles' strung from the ceiling. Outside is a wonderfully large patio with comfy seats, tables and fireplaces. Large bar inside and out. Service: We were seated immediately and served our food promptly. The place was bustling and the waitress was present but not overtly. Food/Drink: We ordered several appetizers: filet bites, flat bread with cheese and arugula, and Ahi tatare. All were tasty. We also ordered ice tea and white wine. We were there for happy hour. A great place to be: can sit inside or out in a great ambiance. Summary: Blush is a gem on State St., whether you go with a companion for a drink and tapas or a meal. The menu is extensive, fresh and creative; the service adequate and the ambiance delightful.

What No Service?, 2/9/2013

During the SBIFF I wanted to enjoy a nice meal between movies. I was seated in the patio and completely ignored. Three other tables were seated after me and they were served right away. The server compleletly ignored my table. When I asked to speak to the manager I was appalled by his lack of customer service. Dear Manager, not only have you lost my business, but that of my associates. All was not lost however, I went to Opal's, enjoyed a remarkable dinner, and service was great!. Opal's understands the value of customer service.

Blush has daily lunch specials. We were very pleased with their Friday beef ribs (3) which were superior to either of the places with BBQ in their names, and at a better price! Really tender and flavorful with side fries and coleslaw. Service was swift and attentive.

Great Anniversary Dinner, 1/27/2013
Reviewer: D'Vonne from Thousand Oaks,Ca.
My husband and I always enjoy the opportunity to stay in Santa Barbara and we chose Blush to celebrate our Anniversary! The atmosphere was inviting with the fireplace across from us and the heaters near our table. We enjoyed a great bottle of wine, the service was efficient, friendly, and the food serving team all did a great job making sure we had what we needed. The hamburger was excellent and my husband enjoyed his jerk chicken. It was a lovely night but a sad moment when we realized we had left our "to-go" box on the table. Darn, was I looking forward to finishing my burger the next day! We will dine at Blush again.

This was our choice for Christmas eve. We peaked in during the afternoon as we walked State St. and we were not sure if it looked "fancy" enough for a Christmas eve dinner date. We were happy that we didn't change our mind. The waiter was extremely polite and attentive. When the salad taste exceptional, you know you made the right choice. The steak, the lobster mac and cheese, the baked cookie with caramel & vanilla gellato, AND great wine...made for an A+ evening at Blush. Sitting in the patio with the fireplace also made for nice atmosphere.

We are all (3) Santa Barbarans and 1st time there for 2 of us. We arrived to see the band at 2:00pm. I was only going to have a glass of wine. Waitress finally took our order 2:20 said if you order lunch you get bottomless mimosa's until 3pm. So we said ok. Our drinks came at 2:40 and food 2:45 (salad). We were expecting other people who never came. I gave my friends my money for lunch and left. They got a bill that they had tacked on $18 extra for a large party (3?) and $15 each for the bottomless Mimosa's which were supposed to be included with lunch! My friends talked to the manager who sided with the waitress and insinuated they were lying. This was the first and last time we will go there!

There was great live mellow music. The patio was so relaxing and the service was wonderful. Lastly, the meal was so delicious! Also- you can't pass up the dessert. I will definitely be dining at blush in the future. It's one of my new favorite restaurants!

My husband and I had the most amazing dinner at Blush the other night. Beyond incredible food, drinks and service. It was, by far, the best meal I have had in a long, long time, probably since our last time at Blush. The service was phenomenal, attentive and friendly but not overbearing. And, while the owner was checking in on us, another pleased diner stopped by to let him know that his large party was very happy with their dining experience as well. Easily my favorite restaurant in town!

Amazing live music with so much soul! I'm from North Carolina and I was so pleased to finally find a spot with GREAT live music. The food was amazing and the servers were very attentive. The duo you have with the DJ and sax player is sexy and very alluring. This is a perfect spot for Santa Barbara to relax and play. Rebecka

Great Food. Misguiding Name, 10/28/2011
Reviewer: Tory from Santa Barbara, CA
If you want to know the truth, I live in Santa Barbara and hadn't made it here until just recently. It was the name. I just don't like the name. It made it sound like a girlie tea spot, which is fine too, but not my style. I recently took a client of mine to dinner here ( heard through the grapevine that it was good food) and he seemed a bit worried as well. Much to my surprise the lamb shank blew me away. Soft tender, and served with just enough sauce to add to the flavor or the lamb, not drown it out, as I have seen with other places. The lobster mac and cheese sounds funny but it is absolutely brilliant! My point is, male or female you will love it, and a really beautiful outdoor setting as well. I Highly recommend it and it's too late now to change the name, but everything else fantastic. Service was great. I am not sure about what the other reviewers mean.

I came to Blush last night to meet up with some friends. Big Mistake. I encountered the rudest host and staff that I have ever experienced at a bar/lounge. I waited in line with a friend to get in, and they did not approve of his ID when we finally got to the front. We went back and got his passport, then waited in line again and were asked to pay $20 to get in! Since we were meeting up with people, we paid the $20. When we got inside, it was impossible to get any kind of service. The place was understaffed, and everyone was rude. It's a shame as it is really a beautiful restaurant, and a great location. If this is how they treat locals, I can't image they will stay in business that long.

Decided to try this place for the first time with my Gf. Was strongly recommended by a friend, so we did. We went for dinner and the food was awesome. Very good job. The scene was great and the drinks were delicious but a little overpriced I might say. The hostess and staff were very nice and we sat right away with our reservations. It was a little chilly outside, and they were able to bring us a heater. The only thing they can work on is there service timing, as they were a little slow bringing out our drinks and taking our order. Would dine here again though.

I was excited to finally have the opportunity to head to Blush w a Date and was greeted by an unsmiling hostess who didnt seem to like her job too much. However I have a high tolerance for unpleasant people and so this did not phase me. What got to me was that after being seated inside the mostly empty restaurant we were never approached by a wait person. There were employees walking back and forth across the restaurant many of whom made eye contact with me but that was all I got. After about 10 minutes of looking over the menu, talking and wondering, I bet my date that we could sit for another 8 minutes w/o being asked for even a beverage order. Low and behold 8 mins later we were walking out. No one stopped us or asked what we needed etc. A VERY disappointing experience as I was hoping to really like this place. We gave them a bit of a chance as we were enjoying the musician playing on the patio but honestly like 20mins w out service??????Worth another try? Idk...I dont like being ignored. Hopefully my faith can be restored somehow. Ive heard mostly good things about Blush, but who knows...

Why wait when you can leave before the server waits on you?, 12/31/2010
Reviewer: Cindy Harmony from Santa Barbara, CA
I had wanted to try Blush since they opened. Finally, we walked by and went in for lunch. There were very few people in there and we were seated at our table The water was served with a slice of cucumber; very nice. Menu had some interesting items - we were prepared to enjoy our meal... Then, we proceeded to wait and wait but no one ever came to take our order. Now, having said that the restaurant was not busy at all, what does that mean - how does this happen? When is SB going to make service a priority? Is it that difficult? Still haven't found decent service in this town except for the $$$$ restaurants.

LOVE the Happy Hour!!!, 11/18/2010
Reviewer: April from Santa Barbara, CA
In my opinion this is the best happy hour spot in town. The prices are great and the food is delicious. I went in on a Thursday with some work friends and we all shared the wild mushroom flat bread, the prosciutto/pear flat bread, the ahi poke and a side of truffle fries. For drinks we had a round of sangria. Everything on the menu was only $6 and it was so so so yummy. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive as well. The best part is that they have their Happy Hour everyday! I'll definitely be going back soon.

Great Venue for a Party!!!, 8/18/2010

I recently hosted a birthday party dinner for a group of 25 guests. ( I had only been here once previously in the afternoon for a cocktail & appetizer and fell in love with the ambiance). The owner was SO accomodating and helpful in the planning process. He reserved the rear outside patio for our group. The venue is beautiful during the day and even more dramatic at night with the fireplaces lit. The food was excellent and the service was superior... Britney was especially AWESOME!! Thank you to all at Blush who helped make the evening so very special in every way...above & beyond my expectations. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Whoever is claiming the truffles are 'pea-sized' has grown up eating some large peas! they aren't gargantuan costco-size truffles, i guess, but they're definitely a hefty 1.5-2 inches in diameter. They're made by a creative local chocolatier, I asked. Mmmm.

I came here with some girlfriends for a night out and we ordered a couple of appetizers and some drinks. The sweet potato fries were delicious however the sliders were so small and not worth the price at all. If I had known how small they were I would not have ordered them. Our drinks were good, however the service was slow and it was hard to find our waiter when we were ready to leave.

Second Trip - very disappointing, 6/26/2010
Reviewer: Disappointed from Santa Barbara, CA
I came here for brunch one week ago. I received fair service, but I was one of three tables. I was brought mini croissants with my coffee and I found the atmosphere to be delightful. This time, i was told that they no longer offer the croissants and I sat for 5 minutes while my waitress went to get more coffee, only after being told by her manager to check on me.

My fiance and I enjoyed cocktails on the patio a few times and just loved the ambiance. We recently became engaged and thought it might be the perfect venue for a small reception. After leaving two voice messages to check availability, one of the managers finally called back. He said he had to check with his partners to see if it would be feasible since we were only having a group of 30 people. After the appropriate waiting period passed, I called to check on the outcome and left another message. To this day, he has never returned the call, not even for the courtesy of an explanation. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

Disappointing! Especially for a Birthday!!, 5/16/2010
Reviewer: Sheila from Santa Barbara, CA
My husband stopped by personally to make birthday dinner reservations for us for my birthday yesterday. It was the first time we had been here. Drinks were good - really liked my mojitos, which helps at $10 each! Ahi Poke appetizer was good but not a lot. Dinner was just rather bland. Lobster Mac/Cheese wasn't bad - but has the lobster and pancetta baked on top of it, and not a lot of either. Really could use more. Seseme Ahi was just not that flavorful of a dish. Dessert was three tiny truffles and one raspberry and one blackberry for $8 - really? My husband was upset that even after bringing up my birthday again to the waiter they still did nothing. He was wondering if the guy just forgot, but as we were leaving the waiter yelled out, Happy Birthday. So - didn't forget, apparently they just don't do anything for birthdays? Or at least not for us... For $120 bill, there are sooo many other places to eat in SB, and ones that will treat you much better on your birthday! Might go back for drinks, but not for food again.

Not so Happy Hour, 4/1/2010
Reviewer: katie from Santa Barbara, CA
I went there with a group of friends for happy hour...there were about 8 of us and we didn't want to sit at the bar and it was cold and raining, so the patio was out. That left 3 high-top "happy hour" tables, but only 6 that left an option of sitting at the dinner tables with no happy-hour prices...fine. After some group discussions, 2 ladies decided to take their business elsewhere, so that left 6 of us. We moved back to the high-top tables and as I ordered the happy hour wine, our server reached across me to grab my menu and replied "Sorry, but I need to check what the happy hour wine is because I don't normally work it." I thought that was very rude - I'm sure there are menus at the server station that he could have checked and not made me feel like my business was unwanted.

My boyfriend and I go out to eat a lot so we try to go to new places each month. Service here was horrible. If we are going to pay what we paid here we should have good service. Our waitress didn't pay attention to us at all; we kept having to ask other people to help us. It wasn't even crowded there. I wanted to get up and leave. She wouldn't have even notice. We finally got our food. I order the salmon and my boyfriend got the filet migon and we nearly melted in our seat. The food was sooo good, let me say Phenomenal! If you had better service I would've came back but that's my pet peeve about restaurants we have to have good service even if the food was AMAZING! Good job chef!

Valentines Day - made a sucker out of me, 2/15/2010
Reviewer: Adam from Santa Barbara, CA
Decided to try Blush out on Valentines Day, saw the prix fixe menu ahead of time and picked it out specifically because of it. My girlfriend loves oysters and a first course option was oyster trio. The oyster trio ended up being a shot glass of cold oyster bisque, an oyster shooter migonette with dime sized oyster, and one cold garlic baked oyster. Not appetizing at all, and not at all what I was expecting from what was advertised ahead of time. Second course was inedible overcooked lobster, and the saving grace, and only reason they get one star instead of 0, was a phenomenal filet mignon. Dessert was three pea sized truffles and banana "parfait" - green bananas and egg whites whipped with sugar. The total damage: $158 for two drinks and three poorly executed courses (except for the filet.) My basic feeling leaving there was that the kitchen completely mailed it in, and did not even try to give us a good experience or meal of value; left feeling like a sucker.

From the moment we entered the restaurant, my friends are I were impressed. When I had made the reservation, I had requested a special table since we would be celebrating a birthday. Our table was ready for us upon our arrival and we were seated outside, next to a warm, glowing fire. Our servers were attentive and polite throughout the evening, making suggestions and waiting patiently while we decided. The cocktails were tasty; I especially love and highly recommend the Sweet Ginger Brown. The food was delicious. Blush was the perfect place to celebrate my good friend's birthday. Thank you!

Reviewer: Kris from Santa Barbara, CA
It seems like there must be more than one hostess and waitstaff team at this restaurant. The bad reviews surprise me -- I've been to Blush twice and had great experiences both times -- both with food and service. It's like the other reviewers went to a different place altogether! The first time, our waitress was attentive and helpful -- and it was a pretty busy Saturday night. We did have a reservation, but two of our party of four were pregnant and one is not a "drinker" so I was the only one having a glass of wine. Our food was fantastic and came out of the kitchen pretty quickly. The other time, we stopped in for drinks and a light supper at the bar -- again, helpful bartender, great food and drinks. I guess it's a place you just have to try for yourself. I feel sorry for the people who had a bad experience -- because, quite obviously, that's not always the case at Blush!

Nice furnishings and decor, and a lovely patio, but our party felt more like a nuisance than a wanted customer. We were seated on the patio and given menus that hadn't been changed from lunch to dinner...and we dinned at 8pm that night. When we asked for the heater to be turned on the waiter simply said "I don't think that one works" and walked away. So after a 1/2 hour of freezing I asked a bus boy if he could turn the heater on and he proceeded to grab another person to finally turn it on. Food was alright but service was unorganized (the server delivered our food to the table next to us before she realized it was ours). Then we got our check and it took about a half hour before the server had time to process and give the receipt. This restaurant seemed to have been trying for new hip look but the welcome feel is definitely not there like that of Opal or Bouchon. Save your money for a better experience elsewhere in Santa Barbara

I went here with a friend on a weekend night recently. They seated us in the dining room. Very nice decor, and cool atmosphere, however the server seemed overwhelmed and underprepared. We were left alone for 15 minutes at a time. It took over 20 mins to get 2 simple cocktails. The food also took forever. I ordered the gruyere burger, but would have rather gone to paradise cafe for $6 less. It was overcooked and was not worth the $16 I paid for it. The girls sitting next to us ended up complaining about the time it took to get the food. They just seemed disorganized, understaffed, and clueless about the poor service. I heard there were 3 managers working that night, but not one came to our table. What are we paying for here??

The food was great, had dinner there with my wife and friends. We all ordered an entree and wanted to try one of the late night dishes (late night dinner menu after 10pm) as an appetizer. It was 9:45pm 15 minutes before the late night menu went into effect and the waitress said she had to double check with the chef to see if we could order off the 10pm menu. Well to our surprise the chef said "no!" So we waited 15 minutes and then ordered it. What a joke! we spent over $200 on dinner and drinks and the service was an insult...We only go back for drinks now...

As far as ambience goes, first impressions couldn't be much better. This huge patio is the perfect place to gather friends for Happy Hour. The couches are so comfortable. The Ahi and Shrimp appetizers were exceptional. The major disappointment was the Blush Margarita. All my friends had them made differently and most were simply awful. Way too sour and weird tasting. This is the bar's signature drink so it ought to be consistently delicious.

Like the reviewer below, my husband and I experienced a very similar dinner. The hostess was hardly welcoming at all..but i don't tend to expect much out of a barely 20 y.o being paid minimum. The server was very prompt in getting to us, but it took probably 20 minutes to get cocktails. The food came in a reasonable amount of time and was very, very good. The place was Extremely loud and we were expecting it to be somewhat, but not with 2 groups of stumbling/screaming drunks right next to our table, and it was only about 630. Management? None that i ever saw.

Intrigued by the lighting & interior of Blush, such an improvement from the prior inhabitant, myself and two others decided to dine here. Service is slow, but booths, table settings and overall vibe are great. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the food, over salted and overcooked. Caesar salad had beautiful presentation except for the lone anchovy on top which had to be cut up an allocated to each bite. The only dish that survived our critique was the Salmon, delicious with great presentation.

So the husband and I went to check out happy hour last night because we'd been there before and it was pretty good! Happy hour is a rip-off. They give you a selection of beers to choose from and don't mention that they aren't ALL included in HH, we had a beer and a cocktail and the bill came to $16.00 plus tip and you can't sit up front and look out the window anymore, they force you to sit in the back of the room where it's dark, hot and loud or the patio where you get to bathe in the smoke from Hamburger Habit. Won't be back.

Great Late-night pastries..., 7/16/2009
Reviewer: Rod from Santa Barbara, CA
My wife and I went into Blush for desserts after a movie. No where in town can you get the quality of pastries this establishment serves late-night. I would rank their peach cobbler among the top three I've ever tasted and my wife's fig pudding (with real figs), was not only succulent, but it was cooked to perfection. The service could have been better, however, our server was very attentive and did a great job entertaining us by educating us as to how the pastry chef prepares everything from scratch. Will visit again very soon!

Great atmosphere, great food but the execution was lacking. We asked for our drinks first but they did not arrive until after we received the first course. The beef in the burgers was almost raw and the main courses did not arrive at the same time. Our server was very apologetic and did not charge us for the burgers and treated us to dessert. Everyone in our party agreed that they would come back because all of the problems should be easy to resolve and the food was very good.

Used to come here for dancing when it was Zelo's -now it's a restaurant. The patio was perfect on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The furniture is clean, comfortable, and substantial. There are a few fireplaces that would be perfect for the space on a chilly night. Had the blackberry/Limoncello cocktail that was light and fruity and not too sweet. Grilled caesar salad was different and very good. 2 romaine hearts could have been 3 for a more substantial lunch, otherwise this would be a good starter salad at dinner time. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Was a great time with my husband, to enjoy a nice plate of food, a cocktail and a glass of wine, the sunshine, and SB. Will recommend to others.

I was here late on a Saturday and had a great time sipping their cucumber limeade and talking with my friends. The outdoor patio is beautiful and spacious. The mai tai wasn't great, too heavy handed on the schnapps gave it a buttery taste when it should be fruity and light. However everyone had a great time just relaxing and enjoy the fires. I haven't tried the food but the service was great!

Our first time at Blush with a group of 18, a mix of out of town friends and us locals who have been eager to try this new restaurant and were all very pleased. We were seated out on the patio where canvas curtains provided a semi-private dining experience. Everyone was very happy with the food and portions size was definitely not a problem! My ribeye steak was excellent throughout, pork chop, Ahi tuna and halibut were also big hits and we all had to sample the lobster mac 'n cheese! Loved the outdoor patio and ladies loved the basil martinis. We'll be back!

Made my first trip to Blush Friday night. The food was fabulous. The remodel of this place had to be expensive, it looks great. My only issue is the portion size. Very, very, very small. If you are hungry plan on spending a lot.

Elegant and modern dining in the heart of Santa Barbara, 6/13/2009

My other half and i dined at blush on a Friday night. The staff were happy to accommodate our needs and when we asked to move to another table with a little more privacy, they gave us the best seat in the house. The food was delicious - classic dishes with a modern twist.Whole romaine hearts as a Caesar salad was a first for me! The fillet was cooked perfectly, a vegetable accompaniment would have been the only improvement. The chocolate trio was a perfect sampler of 3 exquisite deserts. Our waitress was on top of our drinks and gave us enough privacy to talk yet was prompt on removing plates once finished with. The patio looked spacious with fire flames to keep warm. The perfect place for a refreshing cocktail on a summers evening. Blush is now my favorite place in town and I will be returning often!

We ate at Blush recently and being from Orange County are excited to see some more upscale dining in SB. We were seated at our table on time with no wait. The first thing I noticed was the length of time it took for someone to get a drink order. Also, equally long was the time it took to get the food once ordered. Everything we ate was prepared well, good texture, perfect temperature. One of the dissapointing things about the place was the cost and food portion size. I paid $26 for a small pork chop, I thought this was overpriced and unjustly small proportioned. I will give it another try, albeit lunch when prices are more reasonable.

The service was exceptional, and the food was AMAZING. All 5 of us completely cleared our plates (appetizers, dinners, and desserts!) . . . We'll definitely be back!

The wood bar is beautiful, and the pendant lights everywhere are gorgeous. The atmosphere is very pleasant. I visited late at night with four friends. One had the grilled cheese with short ribs. Two had the Ahi Duo. I had the mixed greens salad. All of the food was good, and I believe they will be able to take it one more step and make it exceptional. Their imaginative menu is a welcome addition to late-night State Street. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, but they were a little short staffed.

What Santa Barbara Needs, 5/7/2009

My wife and I have eaten at Blush twice. Both times have been exceptional. To start, the service was attentive at every level, but not annoying. The cocktail menu is wonderful . . . inventive drinks AND they pour Hangar. We've mixed it up with regard to the food; one time ordering apps and entrees, the other time sharing a bunch of apps. Everything has been delicious and worth eating again. Steaks prepared great, fun appetizers, decent portions--not huge, but I prefer quality over quantity. Desserts are really good, too. We tried the chocolate thing (good) and the creme brulee, which came deconstructed, was excellent. We look forward to our next visit. This could be our new favorite place, especially once the patio opens.

The repetoire that you hear regarding this place is not precisely true. The prices are not practical and the food did not leave any of us satisfied. My wife actually had me stop for a bite on the way home. It was prepared well. Delicious to be fair, but the portion size was not in line with the prices they charge. Our bill was about as fair as the weak drinks (stick to wine). The atmosphere was unique and quite pleasant, but they really need some cost effective menu adjustments.

Our first time here for dinner; we had the halibut and the scallops, both were excellent! Atmosphere is outstanding, the back of the room is too loud and stuffy but the front is lovely. HOWEVER; I was horrified at seeing every plate that came out of the kitchen being wiped down [around the food] using the same cloth all evening [but it was re-folded over & over by the same unwashed hands] by the person who was apparently "the plate wiper" and then the hostess would get bored and pick up the same dirty cloth and wipe around the food again on those same plates awaiting delivery. The food was good but I'm not sure I would order dinner again after seeing so many people handling every plate. If something needs to be wiped off the plate, the chef should be competent enough to handle the task. Too many people handling the finished product!!! And then the always obnoxious, "do you need change?" question. Lots of potential though.

As a group of four we were happy to be accomodated last minute on a Friday and it was well worth it. The food was great (lobster mac & cheese, wonderful ahi duo appetizers, beautiful halibut preparation, scallops and pork chop are all recommended) Everything was perfectly prepared and the portions were generous. The food is a good value for the price and the bar drinks were great too although wine by the glass was priced a little high. Our server was great too. The owner stopped by and took real interest in our feedback - which was all good!
