They have everything!

I just returned from a trip to Greece addicted to sour cherry juice. I had never heard of it before my trip but managed to find it at the market for a very reasonable price. I can't wait to see what other amazing juices they have by the same company since I didn't pay attention before.

FYI Jenna from Ventura and everyone, The website is not their's. It takes you to a Japanese cosmetic surgery site.

Luv it!

I am from eastern europe and love the products they carry. It makes me remember my childhood. High quality and reasonable prices. Friendly staff and great many varieties of choices.

I was student at UCSB for my PhD program and I was very happy to find this place. Local, fresh produce, not pricy but good quality. I found many of the items I needed to go to LA to find right in SB for reasonable price. Service is good and the owner is very nice. He makes great Kabobs if you ask him during weekend. He has cooked for many occasions for us especially for the graduation party of my roommate and I. We were very happy.

Great food at reasonable prices

I used to go here all the time when I was a student at UCSB, because they have really cheap produce, and lots of weird imported food from Russia and the Middle East. Also, since there are no stores like it in Ventura (where I live now), I was really excited to find out they now have a website,, where you can order the food online. You should still go to the store if you have the chance (not everything is on the website), but it's really cool to be able to order online instead of driving to SB or to LA.

The selection is amazing here. Makes me feel like I'm right at home. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Everything I need in one place. Definitely a one stop shop. Recommend this place to anyone that wants to be a bit more cultured.

These people are crazy

At first glance, I didn't think there was much here either. However after going several times I see more and more awesome gourmet products that you can't find anywhere else. Pickles, fruit juices like black currant, dried fruit and nuts, grape leaves, fish and fresh meat, fresh produce and a great array of meats and cheeses. On th weekends the owner firs up a grill outside and makes kebab sandwiches. On top of that, the girl who makes the sandwiches is hot!

This place was better with the old owners. New owners got rid of the frozen Armenian/Russian food that I relied on living far from home. Most of the Armenian products are gone as well.

European/Middle Eastern market
Reviewer: Glenn from Buellton
From talking to a worker its a market for middle easterners more. Also they no longer make sandwiches. Limited fruit/vegetable, boxed goods and meats. Very bad parking, can only get into it going towards Goleta on Hollister I believe.

I do not see this place lasting - It has a very random assortment of goods that I do not believe will appeal to enough people. The checkout girl was nice enough and the store seems to be clean. Perhaps if this was in a more central location it would get more walk in customers getting that last minute or specialty item...
