Red Mango has the healthiest frozen yogurt around! I love all of the flavors, and the toppings are yummy and fresh. However, I like to buy the yogurt and take it home to put toppings on it or just eat it plain when I don't feel like paying a lot extra for mochi or something. The flavor and health aspect of this yogurt are unbeatable. It really is the only "all natural" froyo, and to be honest I'd rather pay an extra few cents to eat hear than to eat all of the chemical junk in other brands.

Atmosphere is lacking, but service has been mostly nice. I gave the service only 4 stars because it seems inconsistent; when the manager is there, it is great. Since we do not live downtown, it is easier to get to. Park in the back. There is almost always a spot there.

Very tasty Yogurt, 5/21/2009

The flavors were really good here. Pomegranite and Green Tea were both really good(they have two others a "regular" and something tangerine flavored I think). Compared to Yo Yo Yum the flavors are what you are paying for. The toppings are limited. So if you are into "flavor" in the yogurt itself go here. If you are into loading unlimited toppings with not as good flavored yogurt try Yo Yo Yum or Sweet Alley. I have yet to try the State St ones to compare. Small seating, bad parking, server was wanting to be somewhere else.

Extremely Over Price!, 5/18/2009

My Wife went to your store she felt that you charge her to much for the flavor. I don't think that's right I just want to let the public know to be very careful because they can over charge you look at pink berry they give more toppings then you do, when I went to your location to try a smoothie they ended up putting blackberries in it, I did not order the smoothie with blackberries so they do need to improve and stop being so cheap with the fruit and toppings, you might not get to many customers because of the fact that you are cheap with your toppings!

Glad to see something on upper state.. but it's no pinkberry, 5/7/2009

I was very excited when John posted the addition of Red Mango in the Five Points Shopping Center on his blog a few months ago. It's about time we had something on Upper State. It's much more convenient for those of use who live in Goleta. I checked out the place a few weeks ago and I think they literally opened the day before my visit because it was obvious that the staff were very new. The yogurt was good - prices on par with Pinkberry - but I think I'd rather make the journey downtown, to be honest. Maybe my expectations were a little too high. The staff was slow and in fact, the 3 people who places orders after me were served before me. The manager was nice and apologized but I think I will let them sort out their kinks before returning.. or I'll just make the trek downtown to Pinkberry or Yogurtland

Upper State Gets Frozen Treats, 5/6/2009
Reviewer: Paul from Santa Barbara, CA
Upper State has been long in need of an ice cream or frozen yogurt spot, so this fills a void nicely. It is basically seems like a poor mans version of Pinkberry, although the prices are the same. Actually toppings are extra, so it ends up being more expensive than Pinkberry ($8 for two smalls with 2 toppings each.) The poor mans part is that the ambiance isn't as nice as Pinkberry. It is clean and nicely decorated, but not quite as wowing as Pinkberry. The layout is funny, as the register is right in front of the door, so you can't see the topping choices until it is your turn, and then you hold up the line trying to see what your choice will be. The location right near Ross is a bummer, there is a lot of riff raff in that area and sitting outside to enjoy your frozen treat isn't as nice as it should be. The register girl was helpful and friendly, but the server girl was on auto-pilot. After only being open a week you want to see more enthusiasm from your employees. Overall I'm very happy Red Mango came to Upper State, and only slightly bummed by it's location near Ross, layout, and service. It won't stop me from enjoying more Red Mango though.

Good but overpriced., 4/30/2009

The place is nice and clean. I guess that after last year cupcakeries, this year is about frozen yogurt. Good especially the pomegranate but way too overpriced. I invited my girlfriend and her daughter and for 3 large forzen yogurts and 3 toppings each, the bill was $20.25 I think this is an emergency to lower the prices for this store like Starbucks is doing.
