Cheap Sushi, 1/14/2010
Reviewer: Kelly Lin from Santa Barbara, CA
1 star food but I give it a 2 star because it is cheap. The chef knows nothing about sushi, you can see that from the quality of the fish pieces and the consistency(stickiness) of the rice, also the ratio of rice:fish. The service is friendly and the waitress are cute. There are not professional, but because they are student workers and are cute 4.5 stars. Overall, see it as a fast food place for sushi if you were to go. It's fast, cheap and taste like food.

Barely There, 9/12/2009

I came in here with low expectations that were promptly met. The most enticing aspect of this place is that it used to be Berrylicious, a fro-yo spot, but because business was so poor they thought they give sushi a go. The food here is dirt cheap. I ordered a Philadelphia roll and saw only a small speck of salmon peeking out from the rice and cream cheese, both of which were warm. On the whole, I really questioned the overall freshness of the minuscule amount of fish that was used. That being said, I'd like to come back and see if there has been improvement in a few months.

Yay SUSHI!, 8/24/2009

Sushilicious is great for the price you are paying. While it is not the best quality it is a tasty treat for the taste buds when low on cash. The miso soup and rice are only a dollar to add so the overall meal is cheap and can be quite filling. The servers are not that informed about their product as of yet but they are extremely nice and helpful. As time passes i hope to see this place roll on forward

I was waiting for a place like this to open.

Cheap but Cash Only and Small Portions, 8/11/2009
Reviewer: Glenn from Buellton
Save yourself some trouble and go to Sushiya Express. Portions small and Cash Only(of course they have an ATM in there for you if you are short!). Next door at Korean place(which takes plastic) they won't let you use plastic for your sushi purchase even though its the same owners and waitresses...??? Sushi is cheap but not for what you get as previous reviewer mentioned also.

So-So Sushi, 8/10/2009
Reviewer: Rick W from Santa Barbara, CA
Its kinda cheap, however when u take in the size of the roll and the quality of the sushi itself, its not that great a value. Service was slow, i think the guy behind the counter is in the process of learning how to roll sushi. The sushi rice its self was quite warm, which actually cooked parts of my scallop and tuna roll. Hopefully these things will be worked out as the restaurant gets older.
