Good Service Food ..?, 10/12/2010
Reviewer: Sam from Santa Barbara, CA
Had dinner here with my friends. Service was good but food for what the hefty price was for was not worth it. I left going home hungry still. I also had a Cert. and when I went to use it the cashier told me the owner was no longer taking them. I suggest the owner take their advertising off so it doesn't mislead anyone.

Just ate there for first time today, with my daughter. One bahn mi and one combo-plate meal. Very good food and service and prices are more than reasonable by SB standards. (Let's face it, you'd pay the same for Subway-type sandwiches.) Pleasantand quiet atmosphere. Young blond woman manning the register and acting as waitress was very friendly and efficient. Will definitely go back and my daughter plans to bring her friends there as well.

I love Vietnamese sandwishes...lets see what you got!, 8/28/2010

Great sandwich...I wish it had more filling! I wish it was cheaper. I am use to paying $3.50 for one in LA. It still satisfied my craving. Blah to 8 bucks for one.

The food was very good, but the price was a little high. I understand its Santa Barbara, but $8.00 for a sandwich was expensive. Other than that the food was GREAT, and I would go again!

Good food and nice addition to Santa Barbara, 8/2/2010

My wife and I had lunch here today. She had a sandwich and I had the grilled pork loin combo plate. The food was very tasty. It is nice to have an Asian barbecue-esque place in town. Sitting outside on the front patio was very enjoyable. We will eat there again and hope they do well.

I decided to try Lam's out today for lunch with a friend. We where greeted by friendly host who gave us a menu, and explained that we ordered at the front counter. The dining room had a wonderful atmosphere with a nice outdoor seating area with small patio style tables. I ordered the Lam's Special Sandwich and my friend ordered an Turkey Sandwich on a croissant. I also ordered a Iced Coffee. My sandwich tasted exactly the way it should. The bread was good quality and the pickled daikon, and carrots tasted great. My friends turkey sandwich looked good as well but less adventurous. I am glad there is finally a place in Santa Barbara that sells Bahn Mi. I thought the price of the Sandwich was a bit high-$6.95 compared to some other places in SF and Orange County-$2.50/$2.75...I do understand the rent on State street also pretty high too! Nice addition to lower State..:)

Glad to see a Vietnamese sandwich shop finally come to SB. Great sandwiches in a nice location. I've been there thrice already; go for the pate sandwich. You won't be disappointed.
