Just curious if anyone has any information on why this place closed? Looks like it received great reviews.

A great addition to Goleta, 11/21/2011

As promised, this was the "best Earl Gray" I've had and the service couldn't have been more friendly. I'm so glad to have a non-chain coffee house in this part of town and the people who work here seem genuinely happy to have customers!

Great coffee, great vibe!, 11/9/2011

I really love this place. As one of those guys who "works from home", the staff have always been friendly and accommodating. Their facilities are clean, plugs are accessible, and the Wifi is perfectly serviceable. At times it can get crowded and noisy, but that's a good thing in my book. I much prefer a place where I can talk excitedly with a friend than one where I get scowled at for daring to speak above a whisper. The coffee itself is quite good, and the baristas know what they're doing.

Try the wraps!, 7/18/2011

I'm a Coffee Cat groupie and now a Cafe Zoma groupie. The manager at Cafe Zoma, Matt, makes in house pesto and hummus for the wraps. Choose from veggie or turkey - both fresh, crisp, huge and delicious. Tomato ravioli soup is my favorite as well as my go to iced vanilla latte. Oh, happy day!

Service is horrible! We called in to check what time they close. We were told 8PM. After standing in line for 15 minutes, we were told that we have to get coffee to go, because they are closing half an hour early! Can't trust their service :-(

Very nice, 12/1/2010

I didn't like Mojo that much but was sad when it closed. Cafe Zoma is the bomb...good drinks and friendly service. They were playing nice jazz. It's a nice place to sit, read, and chill after going crazy in Costco.

I was sad when Mojo closed but very pleased when Zoma opened in its place! I've been there twice now and am impressed with both the quality of the lattes and the friendly, competent service. When I have business in the Big Box, this is now my preferred alternative to either Starbucks or Seattle's Best.

I went in like on Wed. before Thanksgiving, I would like to let customers know that the espresso was a little burnt and not enough flavor, I order a Carmel latte, However the Barista behind the counter was awesome very friendly, I don't understand why they are buying too many coffee shops, to me it is becoming like a corporation and not a family business did you know the owners of Coffee Cat owns Northstar and Cafe Zoma I just think they should slow down buying if you go to big it is not a family business!

New hip coffee spot in G-town, 11/22/2010
Reviewer: Jessica from Santa Barbara, CA
This place is awesome! Cool atmosphere, lovely coffee, and amazing staff. The manager was a real pleasure to chat with and even offered me a free iced coffee! Great service! I don't come out to Goleta very often, but when I do this is my new spot! They even have a homemade lighting fixture made out of styrofoam cups. How crafty is that?! Love, love, love this place...

Good Chai, Desserts and Food, 11/17/2010

Everything was good here, Chai, desserts and veggie wraps they had. The people seem really nice too. Layout looks the same as the old place. By the owners of Coffee Cat I believe.

Classin' up the Ellwood 'hood, 11/12/2010

Locally roasted organic beans (Green Star), espresso drinks made the right way, friendly staff - I hope I'm not damning with faint praise by saying that Cafe Zoma is the new classiest joint in Ellwood.
