Step into the Candyland game!, 12/27/2011

A few days before Christmas, I set foot in this store and must have spent an hour. I'm not even much of a candy person, but I dropped quite a bit of cash for stocking stuffing. The owner as well as her assistant, were so helpful and made things fun. All ages should venture in to recall the candy markers of their past! Worth it! Betcha can't buy just one.

I bought a small case of Bazooka BubbleGum for a surprize gift when I saw it there. They wrapped it with a beautiful bow and it was really well received. Great service while I waited (briefly) I highly recommend. They even have old school metal lunch boxes...l. Jeff

Kingston's is a treat! Super friendly owners who know their stuff. Great selection of ol' time favorites and contemporary candies. But this is more than a candy store: they feature a wide variety of non-edible gift items (books, pens, pencils, pillows, and more) with loads of kid-appeal...and they create awesome gift baskets! They also have a back room that's perfect for small birthday parties. A fun experience, whether you're just browsing...or in the mood for munching!

Small place with an assortment of candy from a bygone era. I think a lot of these older candy lines were picked up by smaller companies that wanted to keep running them. Good stuff, some of the taffy was on the older side. Did not meet the owner but the younger worker was definitely enthusiastic about the candy! Sugar cane soda pop too. Local card free soda with Bulk bin bag deal.

Took one of my kids here the other weekend and was blown away by the great service. Lady who runs this store seems enthusiastic and knowledgeable, but not pushy, making a trip to the candy store an event/treat. Some of the prices are high, but I would rather have my kids chose one item here than grab something cheap at the grocery store with their pocket money. A plus for adults is the vintage soda selection and a lot of "I remember this from when I was a kid" type stuff. I hope they stay in business, always a concern for small local endeavors.

This is the best candy store ever! She has everything from bulk bins of salt water taffy to fancy chocolate. I think I even saw gourmet gummie, really.
