Hidden Gem in Santa Barbara, 3/18/2014

Food and service were excellent! Restaurant is perfect for dropping in with friends and family. We also love having them deliver however it does take longer, but that is because everything is made fresh. Best pizza in town for sure!

Nardonne's satisfies, 6/5/2013
Reviewer: Jo from Ojai, CA
Once of the things I like most about this place I think is that it works equally well for a casual, spontaneous "Gosh, I'm hungry--let's stop in and grab a pizza" as it does for a celebration with family and friends. Warm and friendly service, great salads and the meatball sliders are magnificent. My husband likes thick crust--and it IS delicious--but I'm a thin-crust girl, and Nardonne's does that just right, too. Ingredients are high-quality and fresh. And they are open late for after-show eats! How 'bout that?

Several Negative things for us, 1/21/2013
Reviewer: steve from Santa Barbara, CA
Negatives: 1.- $5. a bottle for even inexpensive beers? Come on...You can get a Pitcher of Firestone at Rusty's for under $10. 2.- Long time waiting for pizza 3.- Big pizza, but not enough of the toppings. 4.- Only house wine fairly priced, -but not pleasant tasting 5.- They charge $1.50 more for extra cheese..why not put enough on to begin with? Thick Pizza needs more cheese or it is a doughy mess. 6.- Inside decor is a bit bland, and tables close to each other. 7.- Pizza needed cooked a bit more.-Wife said that in her mind, it's flavors and texture were a lot like Costco Pizza, but admittedly with better ingredients. Positives. 1.- Pretty good tasting crust...where it was cooked more...on the edges. Their "char" elements there on the Pizza having the potential of working good with their basic sauce...if they will just cook it more. But crust needs to be a bit thinner...even though it is deep dish style 2.- Water served was filtered and good quality. 3.- Very good Parmesan cheese for shaking on the Pizza...that cheese saved things a lot...highest quality we ever had for table cheese. 4.- Ingredients pretty high quality..if they will just put 50% more of them on. Service was ok...they used the right cheerful words...but then you could tell they didn't really care....took longer and longer.. Don't know about trying again, and interesting...look at a few of the original reviews it just us...or do they sound like someone who is writing an ad?

Eat Here You Will Dig It, 1/20/2013

My family and I have visited Nardonne's at least a dozen times over the past few months, so they have obviously become a family favorite. The food, service and atmosphere are consistently outstanding. The owner works side by side with his team and extends himself in a way that makes his customers feel appreciated. As Santa Barbara residents, we are fortunate to have a multitude of food choices but the next time you are sifting through all of your pizza choices,I suggest that you give Nardonne's a try. There's a good chance that my family and I will be sitting next to you. Enjoy!

Yummy Sicilian (but round), 1/7/2013
Reviewer: Mitch from Santa Barbara, CA
Ordered a medium 14" cheese pie for delivery. Was told it'd be about 45 minutes, and it was right on time. Pizza was good, nice thick crust, cheese was tasty. Only complaints are that having a sicilian that's round & not square (but still cut in squares) is just weird. And the cheese was a little dark on the outside, and seemed like more cheese could have been used near the crusts; once cut, the tiny corner pieces seemed to have little or no cheese. Having the pie in a square shape would work better considering they still cut into the traditional square slices & I think they lose a lot of cheese from the edge slices by doing that. Still really yummy, but I chucked the remainder of the pizza rather than save it because the leftover edge pieces were lacking in cheese & some were just tiny. Also, the boy said it was salty. I didn't think so, but I love my salt.

Deep Dish Delish, 7/13/2012

Wow! This was an amazingly wonderful change of pace from all the great thin crust places!! Thick, perfect crust, tomato-y sauce and thick, gooey, stringy cheese.... heaven! And the 16" would easily feed a family of 4-5 for, at the most, $26!! You will be so happy you tried this place!

DON'T MISS IT!, 6/14/2012

My son and I are there once a week. I just feel bad because it's off the beaten path and nobody knows about it. The pizza is fantastic. Salads are great. We just need to get the word out there..most people walking up State Street are not going to find it!

The BEST pizza!, 6/9/2012
Reviewer: Cindy Stoutenborough from Santa Barbara, CA
We were thrilled to hear Nardonne's had opened in Santa Barbara as we discovered them years ago in San Luis Obispo as college students. This pizza is as good or better than we remembered! The pizza has a great flavor, thick, yummy crust and just the pizza we're been waiting for since Deano's closed. In addition, the restaurant has a nice decor and the staff is super friendly. We've been every week since we found them.
