no better than Denny's, 1/10/2015

I've had two meals here. The breakfast burrito is pretty good. But the classic breakfast is no better than a $2.99 Denny's special, except they want $10 for it. Two quail-sized eggs, soggy home fries, way fatty sausage, and bread that was fried in butter.

Try their special take-out dinners!, 12/15/2013

We tried their special Thanksgiving take-out dinners--delicious at a price less than half that of restaurant fare. Almost no work with their explicit reheating instructions. Loved their mixed vegetables and apple cobbler dessert. I've enjoyed lunches there on several occasions. Terrific salads. Also liked their pulled-pork sandwich.

Yummy hickory chicken sandwich, 8/21/2013

I would recommend the tasty hickory chicken, the service is good, price is around 9 bucks which is more or less same as south coast deli but it's less crowded

disappointing sammie/salad, 5/16/2013

Based on good reviews, we tried S&O expecting far better than we got. Perfunctory greeting and a staff that seemed utterly disinterested in whether we had a good experience or not. Recommended chicken sandwich had enough chicken but an odd chipotle sauce on a scarcely warmed ciabatta bun. Pickle sliver and cookie. The salad was big, but drowned in an equally unpleasant dressing mix with the "roasted" veg in huge chunks and essentially raw. Left 75% of it on the plate. What a shame. Hope other items are better, but won't be finding out.

Extraordinary food, well priced, 4/25/2013

I came for a late lunch with my husband and it was delicious. We both had sandwiches, one pulled pork and the other hickory-smoked chicken. The price is competitive with another sandwich shop in town that has become very popular, but the sandwich here was, to me, so much better. Well flavored, not salty, very high quality cheese, fresh housemade bread, really delicious. One of the owners was there and very friendly. The service couldn't have been better. I don't think the location is ideal (same parking lot as the old Sizzler), but they have fixed up the interior very nicely. It was a really great lunch. I plan to return for coffee and breakfast.

Fairly Good Food and Service, 4/14/2013

Food was fairly good here. Nice people and atmosphere for a sandwich or salad. Nice variety on the menu, the quality was not as good as similar items at other places I've had but they were Ok. It seemed like the items needed a few more ingredients(e.g. nuts in the curried chicken salad)? They may still be tweaking menu items. The cookies were good. A nice place to try. XO Coffee place next door with made in house pastries.

Good enough to return, 2/23/2013

I went into today and was greeted with a nice comfortable environment. The food was good and had a nice selection of sandwiches and salads. The service could use a little improvement as my groups food was brought out in stages and by the time the last sandwich came out it was at least 5 minutes after the first entree. I'll return in a few weeks and see if anything has improved but I do like what I've seen so far.
