We stopped to try soup and salads. The black bean soup was like decent canned. No garnish. The gravy-like French onion had a few croutons and a smattering of shredded cheese that wasn't melted. 4" slice of warm baguette on the side. The Spinach Power salad bore little resemblance to the online photos. No egg at all, unpleasant mushy minced mushrooms, and salty fried onion-like chunks. The dressing and a tiny portion of bacon bits were OK. An apple as a side. Caesar salad had the same tasteless croutons as onion soup. Dressing was ordinary, lettuce fresh, and anchovies still at sea - at least nowhere near this salad. Service was courteous fast food. Barely average experience; we're unlikely to bother again.

What's all the hype about? Meh., 6/12/2013

I've been to Panera three times. Everything is just okay. The bagels are really chewy and not very flavorful. (Jalapeno bagel with no sign of jalapeno anywhere?) Coffees are always hot. Mocha is nothing but hot chocolate. Lunch: Salads are pretty good, but nothing exciting. The sandwiches are bland bland bland bland. Overall it's just... meh.
