My husband and I went here last night to check things out after hearing positive reviews from friends. We really liked this store. It carried many mainstream brands that we would all recognize, alongside quality specialty items, many of which are locally sourced. This factor solves the issue we sometimes have with TJs, when we have to make a second stop for specific items not carried. Only downside for us is that this is a bit off the beaten path for us, so a bigger effort to get there in the first place. Enjoyable experience!

A bit hectic on day 2 as would be expected but I was pleasantly surprised by the selections. NOT the same old thing. Plenty of comfortable choices but also more daring ones. Hungarian Mushroom Soup - YUMMY! Broccoli Salad with Cranberries - VERY GOOD!! I will be back - often.

Love love love - but why on Milpas?, 12/13/2013

This is a great European-style grocery and will be a regular stop for weekly shopping. The bread isn't great, the produce could be more exciting, but not having to hunt for real food is priceless. This store is going to be successful because it doesn't stock the type of things I don't want or use, just nice, good quality grocery items. The only reservation I have is the location.

Opening today. Went around 10am. Parking lot totally full..something you'd expect for opening day. I think many employees were surprised how busy they were. It's a beautiful store....maybe a smaller version of a Whole Foods. (I have a feeling they get that comparison a lot). Produce displayed neatly, olive bar, butchers, freshly made sushi, a great looking service deli area, coffee bar, etc. Lighting makes it look a little unique...mainly spot lighting, gives it a dramatic look. I brought home a few cooked baby back ribs and broccoli cheese soup. Both very tasteful..ribs were very tender. Prices? Well, you have to determine your comfort level with their pricing...probably in line with other higher end markets in town. I gave it 5 stars....just first experience.
