Great food, but can;t run a business. Now Closed, 3/2/2016

The food here was amazing, and a really good price. The "service" was good, but I rate it poorly because the owners had no idea how to run a business. The joke around work was "he will be missed" and yes a year later it closed. Everything we ate there was amazing. But so many things wrong. Charged extra for credit cards (just roll it into your prices), The soda machine stopped working about a week after opening (did he not realize you had to keep buying supplies for it). No ice, ever. Has a cooler case that was always off, but some canned sodas were in back. Never opened on time. I arrived 15 minutes after NOON (the opening time) and he just arrived and was setting up. Order taking was difficult as he would race to the total without asking "anything else". Anyways food was AWESOME!! But the owner needed a partner to run the business side. As of Feb 2016 it is closed and a sign outside "805 Kabob Coming soon". So maybe the new place will be like the old, but he will be missed!

I had dinner here and really enjoyed the food and the warm service. Not only did they serve my food fast and with a smile, they brought out samples of a couple other dishes for me to try. Looking forward to coming back for lunch some time.

Incredibly fresh, delicious food. I am so glad Santa Barbara finally has good, authentic Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food. The owners are so kind and humble. These people know how to cook! Very affordable and that is so special because the food is so top notch.

Authentic and friendly place for Mediterranean food., 8/18/2014

I've eaten here 3 times now and took a friend who was pleased. The chicken Shwarma here is much better than IVD as is the hummus. The Babaganoush is fantastic and I recommend it as a side. The sandwich is the better deal. The plate has only one pita, the same amount of meat but much more hummus and tahini, its $2 more. Maybe ask for another pita with that. A real brick oven in here, it's all handmade in front of you. Owner is very friendly and let me have some samples when we went on a slow day. Interesting soda dispenser with dozens of choices is cool. I see they have coffees and teas. There are some desserts too I need to try. Everything was exceptionally fresh. We donít have enough of this style of food in the area and this place stands out as a really tasty and cozy place. Itís a bit different than I have had before; there are several dishes Iíve never heard of so I intend to return again soon. Letís try to keep this place open.

I have had to go to Los Angeles to find tasty and authentic middle eastern food. This place is fantastic! Great selection of traditional dishes. I just worry about the location. It does not really stand out and is difficult to see or find from the center of IV. I wish the owner were downtown. This place would be a goldmine! I am middle eastern and can attest to how good the food is. I will be going back a lot.

Good Schwarmas here, authentic. Food portions a bit small. Definitely worth a try. Nice people here. Off the loop, nice facility with inside/outside seating. Limited parking. If craving Middle Eastern/Mediterrean give it a try.
