Disappointing on the whole, 1/14/2015

After a sufficient mourning period over the loss of Los Gallos, we decided to give this new place a try. The burritos we ordered were just OK, nothing exceptional. They were also small for the money (nearly $9 apiece). There was a certain charm to Los Gallos that's been completely erased with this new restaurant. The tables were filthy and the salsa bar was in disarray; it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long while. Also, the restaurant does not offer beer as they don't appear to have a liquor license.

Great new place to eat, food is excellent!, 11/23/2014

We came here off a whim knowing that a new restaurant had gone in. Walked in and was greeted and we asked for suggestions off the menu. The cashier suggested the Alambre's in any meat. I had gotten the Al Pastor and my wife got the Chicken. It was a good amount of food when brought out, nice fresh tortillas, and everything was seasoned well. Price was right on for the portion's of food but well worth the quality. You can see the Pork on a rotisserie that they shave it off of. We also ordered rice and beans as a side. Rice was very good as well as the beans. Nice salsa bar as well. The only thing we didn't see or ask about was Chips (to go along with the salsa bar). Not a big deal though. Food was excellent and we will be back to try some other items off the menu!

we seriously needed some fresh good eats in this neighborhood! i do miss los gallos, but pastorcito has quickly become a favorite. if only derf's would finally give up, then perhaps something else could come seriously energize that intersection. Pastorcito's meats are WELL seasoned, the burritos are VERY generously sized, and the combo plates are delicious as well. give them a try - you won't be disappointed.

I was a big fan of Los Gallos, the former restaurant at this location, and was sad that they never reopened. Tried this place and definitely liked it. Tacos were great, but as noted elsewhere on this site in a story about the opening, they're quite small. Three, maybe even four, would make a meal. At $1.75 each, that's more than reasonable. Homemade tortillas are great, atmosphere is friendly and service fine. My lunch companion had a burrito which was okay, but nothing special. She'd get the tacos next time too. Recommended, for sure. Glad it's in my neighborhood.

The Gringas are to die for. Salsa Verde is amazing. I love this little family taqueria they are so nice and welcoming. Just walk by and smell the deliciousness and you will not want to resist. Authentic D.F. style (Districto Federal aka Mexico City). Great portions and quality ingredients. Good Prices! My new favorite little Taque.
