We went for the first time last night for Father's Day. The food was great, but the service was sloooow. We got there at 10 til 6:00 and left at 7:30. Over an hour and a half is a long time for burgers. The ambiance is laid back and casual, everyone is very friendly and helpful. We'll be back; hopefully the slow service was a one-time issue.

A very nice addition to the neighborhood

As I live just a few blocks away, I have been keeping an eye on this location since I heard, way back in the Spring, that a taproom and restaurant would be replacing TAP Thai. Last Monday I saw a "Now Open" banner and immediately changed my dinner plans. The place has been redone with a nice casual atmosphere. The low ceiling that hung over TAP Thai has been removed to create a more open feeling. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Our waiter was anxious to tell us about the beer selection. It is a good variety of California microbrews on tap as well as a nice Oregon cider available in the bottle. Wine is also available. The menu is small, but has a variety of salads, flatbreads, and sandwiches. I had the lamb meatball sandwich with a salad and my wife had the hamburger and fries. Everything was very tasty, the salad greens were very fresh and dressed just right, the sandwich had a good balance of flavors with feta cheese providing a nice saltiness. My wife was pleased with the burger and fries. I returned a second time two days later with my daughter and we had a selection of happy hour appetizers and a ricotta flatbread. The Parmesan Garlic fries were outstanding. We also enjoyed the brussel sprouts with bacon and the brat bites. The flatbread was like a Margareta pizza with ricotta and was also very good. We went again last night for an early dinner and the place was busy with a happy hour crowd. The service and food were still excellent, I had the fried chicken sandwich. I have tried a few of the beer selections, but I am settling on their Pilsner as my go to beverage. Things are looking up in the upper De La Vina neighborhood, and Yellow Belly makes a great addition. I only fear that with such a small space, I'll have trouble finding a table as they inevitable become popular.

I'm excited to see this place doing well so far, I've been for dinner twice and they were very steady and seemed to be handling the crowds nicely. The food was really good but still missing something that would make me say WOW. Maybe a little more punch to the flavors? The pretzel and cheese was a great starter and the desserts are fantastic. The burger was pretty good but not great. I really liked the grilled cheese sandwich. and the beer was cold, tasty and had plenty of variety. I like the decor and the general feel of the place, really homey and comfortable. Looking forward to seeing how this place evolves
