We absolutely loved THE ZONE, along with so many other families here in Carp. Its the place to go for a family friendly and fun atmosphere. Its where we go when we have out of town vistors. CARP DOES NOT NEED ANOTHER HIGH PRICED STEAKHOUSE. We already have THE PALMS, ZOOKERS, GIANNFRANCOS, AND CLEMENTINES. Carp NEEDS a family friendly place to eat. PLEASE!!!

Great food, service and Stanley cup final viewing!, 6/5/2007

My husband and I went here to watch the Stanley cup final and were very satisfied with the GREAT service and food. Everything we tried was delicious! Jessica was a wonderful waitress who was very helpful and efficient, she was always there when we needed her. The manager even kept the volume on the game even though basketball was also on. The Ducks lost 80( but the next time we are in Carpinteria we are definitely stopping into the Zone Sports Grille! Thanks for a memorable time!

ya gotta love it, 3/15/2007

the drinks are great--those vodka gimlets really helped me when I had a bad back and an even worse girlfriend--food was great, liked all the tv's--you should stay open later----i can't mention the ex-fiance's name, but she's gained a lot of weight-probably from eating too much of the good food at your place!!

Great experience, but have a few suggestions, 5/16/2005

I´m not a sports fan, but really enjoyed the atmosphere and our waitress was awesome. I had a tuna melt and it was just OK. They should use albacore to step up the quality. They should also offer the option to sub a burger with either a Boca burger or Gardenburger. Also, why do burger places seem to no longer have American cheese??

I had a great time with great food. The service was a little bit slow but the fries and the food were great. The sports jerseys were fun to look at and they had good games on. I will definately revisit. GOOD JOB!!!

Good quality food at a reasonable price. Other restaurants should use this as their model. Casual atmosphere too...with a 1000 t.v.´s (or so it seems)!

Delicious!, 7/26/2003

Not much of a sports fan, i decided to try the zone out since i must have been to every other place in carp. I was surprised to find that it wasnt at all a typical sports bar. The food choices were amazing, the meals were delicious, and i had the best greek salad i think i must have ever had. The cook is amazing and the waiters are just the same!

Was in town on a business trip and wanted to watch Game 1 of the Stanley cup. Hesitated on coming here because I had read the last review when researching Carpinteria, but it was the only place I could watch the game. Thank God I did..what a great place! Not only did I get my game on their big screen but I was also able to watch the Spurs/Mavs GM5 at the same time. I received excellent service and my meal was fabulous. Being a sports fan, I really enjoyed the menu - all items are named after athletes or are sports oriented. As for atmosphere, I noticed they had "no profanity" signs posted and the waitress explained to me that this helps keep the place "family oriented" and that this rule is enforced. Classy place, classy staff..if I´m ever this way again on business, or passing through with my family, I´m definitely stopping to have a bite. BRAVO!!

Awesome Environment, 3/21/2003

I take my family to The Zone Sports Grill once a week. The kids beg us to go more often than that! The place is very clean (including the bathrooms!!!), the food is wonderful and the entertainment is great. They have video games for the kids and a great kid´s menu, too. They have added a ton of new items to the menu and their daily specials are wonderful. Even though they have a full bar, the restaurant is VERY family oriented. I will continue to take my family to this restaurant as often as possible. Oh, the employees are great and they greet my entire family by name each time we visit. Carpinteria is lucky to have such a clean, tasty and friendly restaurant on Linden Avenue! Great place to have parties for both young and old alike!

good place!, 12/22/2002

i personally have been to the zone at least a dozen times! Me and my family go there alot because 1)their food is good 2)they are very personal and great each one of my family members by their name 3)their service is great 4) they have a range of things to do like pool, video games, of course they have games going on 24/7!

Cheap Bar Food, 5/29/2002

Lots of TVs to watch games on. But don´t get the food unless you want to spend the next 2 hours on the can. And teh service was really bad.

Great Daily Specials!!, 5/4/2002

This family owned place offers a tasty variety of daily specials...I´ve tried several and have not been disappointed. If you are trying to cut back on your carbs, try the no carb platter (chicken or ground sirloin) served with a crisp salad and cottage cheese!!! It is really tasty and brings new life to what used be be called the "diet platter" or the "lo-cal plate". One suggestion.....they should serve the delicious brewed ice-tea in a glass instead of the plastic coca-cola glasses....otherwise, I give it a big thumbs up!!!

For Sports Fans Only!!, 4/8/2002

This place really caters to the sports fan as far as viewing sporting events. The food is mediocre and overpriced. The mixed drinks are weak and expensive. If you must see a game that you can´t get at home or elsewhere, then this is the place to go. Stick to beer and appetizers and you will fare best.
