Good Food here. Looks similar inside to how Saigon looked. People are nice. Unless you want to watch Univision probably get it to go, kind of warm in the afternoon in there also but cleaner/newer than some other places on Milpas. Los Agaves still my fave Mex place along Milpas but this is a place to try.

I finally got to Boca de Rio today and was so impressed I hugged the owner! The rumor was that they did Mexican Seafood right, and they do! The garlic shrimp was so delicious and the sides were melt in your mouth good. The service wasn't bad, just not anything to write home about, but we will be back over and over to try all the food!

Try it, you'll like it!!!, 4/18/2012

We stumbled upon this new Mexican restaurant and they have very good food, totally fresh chips and salsas (green and red), great attentive waitress. Their menu has a great variety of all types of dishes. I had the carnitas burrito and my husband had the chile verde burrito (wet) - both were VERY tasty and fresh. This is a sit-down restaurant with real tablecloths, generous amount of chips and salsas (at no charge), and real plates / silverware unlike El Bajio. Their prices for the food is very modest. I think you will enjoy this family-owned restaurant. They are located next to the upcoming Fresh n' Easy market.

Cheap and wonderful oysters, and the ONLY place i've ever been that warned me my order would be 'very very spicy' and wasn't lying. oh man, i was in so much pain, in a good way. the counter lady is legendarily cheerful and nice and knowledgeable of the menu. hope none of the other notorious reviewers go here and find some weird thing to complain about, i'll be sad.

Great place, great food!, 3/12/2010

Its so odd that 2 women write a bad review about this place; perhaps they know each other and decided to write inspired by jealousy. The place is a very cozy and clean restaurant; the food is fresh, well cooked and the owner herself attends the tables, welcoming people with a great smile and shes the friendliest character you can find.

good food and i like the ownership., 2/28/2009

One day I went to eat and their 7 mares soup was old. It smelled old and they said it was fresh from the same day. It must have been at least 3 days old!! Waitress is rude and flirts too much with the men....including my husband!!! I would definately not go back there at all.

Good food, but bad waitress!, 9/12/2005

I have been there a few times and everything is great, the food and atmosphere, but there is a waitress that is always there and she is REALLY RUDE!!! They need to hire a new waitress and she needs to get an attitude adjustment. I highly recomend the garlic shrimp.
