El Mercado Del Norte
Mackenzie Park, upper State Street
Wednesday-Saturday 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

Mercado Del Norte is located in Mackenzie Park at the corner of State Street and Las Positas Street in the San Roque area.

Some say that Mercado del Norte offers escape from downtown crowds during Old Spanish Days.

Come for the fun and the food, stay for the music and dancing. Check out our four distinct "neighborhoods" for all of the family: the food court where you can watch daily entertainment and enjoy Fiesta foods; the Fiesta Bazaar for souvenirs.

Food booths here are similar to those at Mercado de la Guerra with their tamales, barbeque and funnel cakes. The booths at Mercado Del Norte and Mercado De La Guerra are sponsored by local charitable organizations and the proceeds still support their programs.

The form of the booths has been standardized and updated over the years, not only for convenience but also to meet city health and safety ordinances. Entertainment is offered throughout the day and evening to provide an even more festive and enjoyable atmosphere.

The real draw is the Fiesta Carnival. Enjoy the Fiesta Carnival with rides and attractions for the kids including roller coasters, spin rides, swing rides, a fun house, and a variety of bouncies.

Tickets typically cost about $3-5 per ride or you can buy a higher cost wrist band for unlimited rides.

Mercado del Norte also houses a main stage where local musicians and dancers perform.

Fiesta-goers who are over age 21 can enjoy the Crazy Horse Cantina, a beer garden within Mercado del Norte complete with its very own stage and dance floor.
